Heads up that the hardware/brackets they provide with those are so awful. The lights are surprisingly good for how cheap they are but I had to cut the brackets off of my bumper because they got so siezed/rusted and one of the bolts broke. Consider making your own brackets if you're planning on keeping them longer than a few months

    Changed to 650lb coils.

Kind of a pita to change if you don't have a big boy shop spring compressor. The ones you rent from an auto parts store don't do much good.

Put a pipe over the preload wrench in order to crank it down enough.

Also used @jbrandt's idea of the angle iron bolted to the top hat in order to secure it while wrenching on the preload ring.

    Also....im on the fence here.

So when i ate that subaru's ass a few months back, one of my projectors housing tabs busted. Its held on with zip ties now. The cut off is fucked up but there is no other way to hold it in place. Should i:

Get some nice new aftermarket lights since the retrofits are not that clear anymore and install led's(i know, not as nice as retros) i do have an led bar for dark back roads and froading.

    Or....

I dont know my other option...just keep them? The lenses look like shit

What is wrong with the lenses? Is it the projector's lenses or is it the plastic housing covers that are not clear any more? Any pics?

Anyone ever had a tcase get stuck? Swapped tcases chasing a noise, was playing around with the tcase and it’s stuck in the 4wd position, but it’s not in 4wd, it’s still in 2wd. Hoping the shifter just jumped or something and it’s not internal.

Started to work on the new fire pit today. Didn't want to get too carried away so I went with decent load. Was surprised how well she drove considering and the 2.7 performed great.

Took my Mom her "new" truck for her to check out her "new" Lexus wheels and Sport bucket seats I gave her for "Tacoma Mothers Day"..

As soon she saw it, she said she "loves the wheels"! The wheels were a surprise, she knew I was working on putting the seats in for her but had never seen either parts, other than the same wheels on my truck of course.
    20200427_194032.jpg

Some Sport headrests can be seen from this view.. she didnt notice at first while gazing at the new wheels and tires and the trucks new persona for a moment!
    20200427_194004.jpg

Here she opened the door and exclaimed "oh my goooodness" as soon as she saw the Sport seats in her truck!
    20200427_194124.jpg

We took it for a ride and she immediately fell in love with the seats as she was able to raise herself up and noted "these are so much nicer than the original". She dug that they were Tacoma seats from the same era too, as she normally likes her vehicles bone stock. She is going to make an exception this time though, and says the truck feels and looks so good now.

At the end of the evening she told me this was the best Mothers Day ever and thanked me many times.. and I had to agree since we both now live in the World of Tacoma's!!

If it was me, I would not abandon the projectors just yet. I would see about moving them to anouther set of housings. Have you considered that? It would be a bit of work but IMO, way better solution the new housings with an LED type bulb.

I am not a fan of LED bulbs used with reflectors designed for halogen bulbs.

Need some input , after replacing my driver side wheel bearing I’ve noticing a burning brake smell, I was driving and stopped and could smell them especially on the drivers side , so I’m wondering if there’s a Possibility i tightened the bearings too tight or my drivers side caliper is sticking , both front rotors feel the same temperature as HOT both wheels are hot too?
