Anyone ever try replacing the rigid fog lights on a TRD PRO. Would the Baja Design S2 sport fit in the same whole without major modifications? They appear to be pretty close to the same size. Thoughts?

Yes it would fit quite nicely.

    BUT

You need to make or buy an adapter plate because the S2's mount differently and you'd need an adaptor for the wiring harness...

Fortunately you can get both those from

    https://store.ijdmtoy.com/products/led-pod-foglight-70-250-white

here is a better pic of the adapter plate... don't worry that it's the round fog pictured in this pic as it's the same mounting for the pro fog lights,

The S2 lights are the same size as the ones that came in the ijdmtoy kit.

Awesome thanks for the advice and link! That was my next question was if i could wire them up to the factory wiring. Think this will be my next project. Does that kit come with the wiring harness i would need or do i need to get another one?

do you have any shots showing the difference in output? How much better are you liking these vs the Rigids?

Next question. Has anyone added a set of matching Rigids over the lower OEM Rigids. It's something I am contemplating.

Keep in mind that if you are thinking of replacing these with Baja's S2 they will no longer be road legal.
My money would be going towards diode dynamics ss3 pro in their sae fog pattern.

I was also thinking the same for awhile, but i don't think the original oem Rigid's are that bright at all. compared to the circle ones at least.

I really like the looks of the Rigids and I upgraded my low beams to
JDMastar 10000lumes LED Low Beam Lighting T1 so I've got plenty of lumes.

If i do go the Baja route then i was planning on doing the amber one's. I also upgraded my headlight to LED's to match the rigid lights.

I would highly suggest reviewing the fog thread. Diode Dynamics SS3s are 2.5x higher output than OEM Rigid TRD Pro fogs and are the current highest output fogs on the market by far, much higher output than Baja. The OEM TRD Pro fogs are not great performers. All the data is in the thread, note the links at the top of the thread to the latest product releases like Diode Dynamics SS3.

I had the halogen fog lights (Sport) and the ijdmtoy fogs were definitely a lot brighter.

You realize that isn't a fog pattern right? And ijdmtoy mislead you on selling a 'fog light'. That is an a spot pattern which should be mounted near headlight height to be effective, spots will be useless in poor weather, blinding to oncoming drivers and should not be run on the street with other traffic.

FYI. The led's I installed match perfectly

Thank you daks, I thought you had the S2s. Would like to compare oem rigid fog to s2s.

They will not, you’d need to swap to the standard fog bezel. Diode Dynamics is releasing an 1/2 size pod soon that could possibly be retrofitted to fit the Pro bezel.
