Not by me but it is hand done. Local guy here did it right after he closed his shop. I’d been bugging him for some time so he agreed to do it.

Yeah he did some pretty impressive stuff. I wanted him to do my 43x and my 19.5 mos but he closed down.

Agreed. I'm not big on stippling but that looks clean.

I just ordered the HE507c-gr from botach for $239 shipped yesterday. I'm guessing that slide was milled and not a MOS slide right? Were you able to use the screws that come with the holosun or did you need shorter screws to mount it directly to the slide. I read mixed things online.

Man I wish I could answer this 100% accurately but I feel like my slide came with new screws. And I know my gen 5 mos came with different screws too. I do know 100% the screws I used had blue loctite on them. I also know that the holosun 507c came with some screws. If you remind me tonight I will get my box down and see if those screws are still in the box. If they aren’t then I used them.

fwiw you probably already know this. But the 507c is the same platform as the trijicon rmr and I can verify that as I have both.

Thanks! just looked them up, pretty affordable. Is that the tungsten color? Do you know if the locking block is needed if using this slide on a regular gen 3 frame and not a p80 frame?

how does yours run? would you recommend them?

Well, I've got the itch to buy a new Glock again. Thinking I want the Gen5 17 MOS. My 19 bothers the knuckle on my middle finger after a few rounds, shot a buddy's 17 a few days ago and it felt much better on my knuckle. I have thought about grinding down the trigger guard a bit, but I have a pressure switch for my gun light there so it wouldn't help. Haven't had much luck finding one in stock around here, only have a couple stores that carry the blue label line.

Also anyone have opinions on the MOS? I've never used anything other than regular sights on a pistol, and haven't done much research on red dots for Glocks.

I held off on jumping on the pistol RDS train for a few years but eventually decided to give it a shot. G34 MOS gen4 with an RMR RM06.

It is a whole other game. Takes a bit of training to change up your presentation but as long as you have a solid fundamental base, you’re going to love it. However if you can barely hit what you’re intending to hit now, a red dot is only going to further mask your errors.

I plan to eventually replace my G17 and G19 with MOS models, but that’s so far down the list of things to do. If you’re looking for something new, then I’d definitely give it a try. The Trijicon RMR RM06 is a great optic to check out as well.

Find someone with a rds and see how you like it. For some it’s not worth it. For others it’s a whole different game. Myself I can go either or. You also need to train yourself with a dead rds if you plan on carrying with one.

I've actually thought about the G34 also for a 'fun' gun, but don't think I'd want to conceal carry it much, normally don't open carry even tho I can here. I know I'd have to train with it since its different from what I've shot for years. I'm not too concerned about my abilities, last couple times I've qualified I've scored 98%-100%. I'm certainly far from great, but I can put the rounds where I want them generally.

Good idea to shoot one first, I think a guy I work with has one. Not sure if I'd be carrying a G17 too much, my G19 conceals fairly nice, but I'd definitely want to train for dead battery/malfunctions. Thinking if I find one I may just go ahead and buy it even if I don't get to shoot one first, I think the blue label pricing is about the same MOS or not.

I EDC a P07 cut for an optic, so while I can't give input on Glock's mounting system, the dot itself is something I have some experience with, and I can say I don't see much reason to go back. The optic makes things easy, and don't take your focus from the target, which is what I want in a defensive handgun.
