This is why we have delrin rack bushings as an option but I personally would stick with OE and you want a little flex in the bushing

Nice! Are you using those in the UCA and LCA pivots too? For the non heimed kits.

not sure if you’ve had the pleasure yet of taking the OEM rubber bushings out of one of these steering racks. What a chore. I’d rather stack golf balls

All the lowers use uniballs and the uppers come with either uniballs or OE bushings

Got a little work done yesterday while waiting for front end parts. Thanks to @eccracer104 for picking up the takeoffs from me!

Ugh worst truck I’ve ever caged, everything is so rounded. Also the only truck I’ve ever caged.

And way more experience haha. Looking forward to seeing it. You trying to keep any of the interior? Headliner? I think that also made mine challenging was I wanted to keep as much interior as possible

It’s getting a full custom interior that will make the entire cage disappear. The stock dash will be staying

That will be sweet and allow the cage to tuck up nice and tight. Lots of time and money to do that and I’m sure I’ll be jealous when it’s done.

I'm in if it gets confirmed to work in 3rd Gen
And I have a feeling @Norilsk would be in as well

Building the cage as close the cab as possible is the only way trying to keep headliners and airbag and stuff makes for no headroom and no way to make an interior. tight to the metal and then headline over is the only way.

My guess would be no if they’re running race seats and harnesses like I guess he will be. I only kept my front airbags because I still have the stock seat belts for street driving which I know isn’t the best idea with a cage.

No air bag thingys... 3 race seats and all the interior sheet metal will be cut out first so the cage tucks like you wouldn’t believe

Ask chad jones who just had 9k of a cage cut out of his truck. His head was smashing the cage without the seat in it. @Caboose117
