IMO, Tacoma doesn’t look good on skinny tires. Tacomas are curvy trucks, voluptuous trucks that need tires to match. Skinny tires on a Taco is like a big tittie girl with no ass. Add nice fat tires, girl needs ass! :D

The world would be boring if everyone had the same taste. Who would we laugh at at car shows, if that was the case.

One of us needs to stick these things on their Tacoma, report back and post photos. Come on, someone, anyone, do it for the team.

That same tire or what looks to be that same tire seems to be marketed by a lot of different brands.

Toyota equips late model VDJ79 Land Cruisers with these 225/95R16 Dunlops. They are 32" high and roughly 8" wide.

We just might have something here. I never knew about that tire size.

I'm having a hell of a time finding 225/90r16 mud tires. Just trailer tires.

I have never driven on bias ply offroad tires, that I know of. I guess I might have as a young person.

But I have driven on bias racing tires. The only time I prefer them is drag racing stick cars.

Don't mix radials and bias ply.

I can't find this for sale in the US anywhere. I think they are 225/95r16. Looks like it could be a good size for the Tacoma. I'm curious about the weight. Since they are for Toyota Land Cruisers they might be lighter than some of these tall tires like 255/85r16 that have heavy truck weight ratings.

Unfortunately, they are only sold in foreign markets. I had multiple sets, but sold them long ago. If you can find one of the companies that armors these rigs, they may have some. The load rating is decent, I want to say 118. A good strong D at the least.
