been kicking around the idea of upgrading the suspension. all my friends keep telling me just full send it, but little does my wife know the prices ha! so going to pull the trigger on this stage 2 this week, anyone else running this setup? I have a friend here who owns a shop, get a discount, not super significant but it covers tax and shipping. I researched a lot on the forum about icon vs fox and so forth. I think I have decided on this system to best suit my needs. Why do women freak out about this? But when I go buy a new gun my wife is totally fine with it. women..... Pics to come this weekend after install, and its gonna happen regardless of weather.icon stage 2.jpg

A couple of years ago I purchased my shocks for almost 20% less than what they sell them today, I think in general shock prices have increased.

I think the difference is the gun serves a purpose, you can sell, may actually get some use. The suspension will only cost you in increased wear and tear on the truck and just mainly for looks lol, but I get it.

I would look outside ICON, I've seen alot of guys with quality issues lately, they don't fend too well here in the salt belt but looks like NV you don't have to worry about that. For that type of money I'd be looking at OME, Fox, 8112s or Kings over ICON.

LOL, I paid $2k for my Kings

ha I didn't want to rain on his parade but I agree. Icon has always had some quality issues and we've seen a few customer service complaints on here as well.

dudes, you are not raining on my parade. My buddy here with me that wheels has a nice setup, he has been super pro-iron , I looked into it, did my research, seems like a good choice. But I did not see/hear of anything about quality issues.

Keep in mind this was prices from like 2018 but I called up a vendor and negotiated price.

Icon are historically overpriced. I have the equivalent of their Stage 10 and I paid about $3300 while Icon will try to charge you $5k-$6k and I got a much better suspension overall.

Ya we see a lot of threads and comments about leaking shocks, failures etc but I havent seen any in a while so maybe things have changed.

Fair enough. Fox does have this, which I have been eyeballing. My wife and I are not doing any crazy rock crawling, but we like to go to places that you cannot drive to with a car or suv, we love to go cave exploring, hot springs exploring all around various parts of NV, Figured i would just get a kit , give it some clearance /better handling. I have looked at just the eibach upgrade, and even a fox stage 1.

Did you reach out to @HeadStrong Off-Road ? I just got my Stage 4 for just a little more than your screen shot.

BTW my quality fit and finish was/is TOP notch. The instructions lead a little be to desired, I had to hunt around to find out what value “torque to factory spec” is but this website has a great resource in the 2nd gen forum.

I just installed them so can’t give you a long term report but I am so happy I pulled the trigger.

Ya this will work for you. There are mixed feelings on the digressive valving but should give you better street performance.
