In my situation I am trying to stay with the stock TPMS. My issue is that I am an SR owner. The TPMS on the SR model (or any model that comes equipped with steelies) is designed with a different angle than that of the alloy TPMS, the steel wheel TPMS can be used in alloy wheels, but it must be rotated 180°, and you also have to let whoever replaces your next set of tires know to drop them beforehand or the rotated TPMS will likely get damaged during the unmounting process. It isnt ideal, but I dont feel like spending $200-$300 just to know I'm a couple psi low. This is something that I check every oil change anyway.

If you already have alloy wheels, then they should transfer over -- just have the shop that installs them repair/replace the bad sensor.

If your looking to build up another set and keep your current wheel/tire setup intact then a set of OEM alloy TPMS will run you about $60 each (roughly). I don't have p/ns off hand but I can assure you there are 2 different types one has a 20°angle and the other has 40° angle (I think). I've never had a vehicle with TPMS, so I cant speak to the reliability/accuracy of aftermarket products, but in my personal experience, any aftermarket parts have given me problems, so I'd stay with oem .

Thanks guys! I bought this truck with bilstein 5100s in 2018. This is my first upgrade to the truck. And now there is a long list of items on their way. Slippery slope, as they say. Here are a couple shots in the sunlight the other day.20200425_140639.jpg 20200425_140858.jpg

Anybody know if it’s possible to fit the 17x9 -38s on a 3” lift 2nd gen? I will be getting a cab mount chop or cab mount relocate.

I don’t wheel super hard, mud and dirt/ gravel roads mostly. I’m on an ARB/ Old Man Emu lift currently, I think I’m sitting at around 2.5” of lift in the front. I’d like to upgrade to an Icon Stage 2-4 3.5” kit though, I don’t think much of the OME. Plus it’s set up for a topper, and I took the topper off, so it’s all jacked up in the back and rides rough.
