Cherish it now, and remember this next time - things rebound! It's fun on the up, sucks on the down. When we were on the space mountain roller coaster downward I upped my retirement contribution, I knew the game. BUT in 10ish years we'll see another space mountain ride. Maybe sooner.

 

I dumped a bunch of money in about 2 years ago, and added to it regularly, down about 13% overall. I’m not complaining, I have an income stream of dividends, and the market has done almost nothing in that time period. Like I said, flat for 2+ years, we are due a rally.

 

Im not a stock guy either, more in to real estate rentals and flips. I feel like this was obvious. I got 2 accounts a robinhood acct thats at 53% gain and a bigger etrade account at 23% gain. Easy money is the best money.

 

I don’t understand the market today but I’m not complaining.

Anyone else thinks this is odd that they keep having press releases over this Gilead drug while the other therapeutics and their studies keep getting pushed down?

 

Had a sell order from a while ago for NCLH @ $16.18, didnt think it would actually hit today....someone tell me the magic price to get back in!

Personally, take the equity and jump into RCL or CCL, hold either for a minimum of 2 years and you’ll have good profit as well as a few dollars in dividends.

Unless something changes in the cruise industry I don’t see myself selling RCL or CCL within 5 years.

I wish I had some additional income to put into the market and really knew what I was doing, but I’m enjoying it so far.

 

Agreed. I know we are seemingly beyond the virus, the only thing I can see is if there is a 2nd wave in the fall, there might be another opportunity to buy into travel stocks. But with everything so low, most anything being held for 2 years or more should be considered a pretty good buy.

Any guesses as to what happens to the market during the Powell speech in a few minutes? Every speech I’ve seen from him lately, good or bad, has caused the market to fall. I’ll guess the same this time.

My chart has already dropped almost 2%, I think it will drop through close and then regain tomorrow.
