I sent him the system ID that I got using Flash Manager (the one we use now to download tunes)

    ...hope I did that right

I did the same. I believe we did it right. I got my keys (vF and flash mngr) and it worked on my flash manager and was able to flash my truck with 2020 beta.

Because I had a winch on board, but I felt that a single 34R-pc1500 would be overkill

A lot of really good ideas being mentioned. I bet that in general, screenshots of the affected tables that people have modified for specific purposes will be the most common thing to share... (I ASSUME) that will allow people to use the knowledge and effort of someone else to apply to their ECU and tune preferences, without causing a massive database.

Perhaps a template could be created that everyone completed in a standard format: ie text file or spreadsheet. This could be attached in the same post as the tune.

Text file would be easiest because someone could look at that right away on the forum.

It’s a win win. If they use it, great. If not, it’s just fodder for a dumpster fire. TW being TW after all.

I would be open to suggestions from other TW users as far as "settings" or whatever for a vFTune, that I could incorporate into my own tune if I chose to do it. But I wouldn't just load and run any tune from another TW user. Tunes from Mat come with a degree of trust. Tunes from Vlady, not so much.

Totally agree. I don't think I could load up and run a user tune.

So which one(s) for an AGM battery?

I would not necessarily go by that as it is a GM spec. Your best bet is to change it in VF one step at a time and actually measure the voltage/current. That is unless someone comes up with actual Toyota information.

From what I gather, the duty cycle in the Toyota ECM is not controlling the same thing as the GM ECM. I would have to dig into it further, but again, don't just go by what you read, you should verify. The computer systems and electronics on our trucks are not cheap to fix...

Here is what I would recommend begin with.
change the voltage trigger in the ECU from 14v to 14.6 volts.
    Do not change anything else.
Confirm you are getting adequate charging voltage by checking.
if not, increase duty cycle 2% at a time.
    verify again.

If you need additional charging voltage AND you have excessive amounts of power draw, (extra lights... running the outlet in the bed, etc) you may want to increase duty cycle slighty more.

Nice! Can’t wait to be able to try this. Had my truck on the battery tender every day

Bumping this question here - Can we send in System ID now, or do we need to wait for Tacoma support release in a couple days?
