I used to take parts off to paint them I liked working on cars so much or maybe even engine work just to learn what was in there. Even go to friends houses and work on their vehicles for them.

Yea, I'm a changed man now.

:crazy:Oh this thread hits home, nice to see I’m not the only one. I’m hoping the nicer weather will motivate me to start some of these installs, oddly enough my heated garage didn’t motivate me in the winter....

Did numerous winter projects on my brothers car in my garage, which I get excited for but don’t feel like wrenching on my own stuff.

I know guys with lots of extra cash who have graduated to buying much larger items just to store. Cars, motorcycles, tools......Firetrucks.

Then again, some are saving bits of foil and string.

    Nice
    But such a waste.

Like driving by a perfectly good boat everyday that just sits there.
    Sigh

Different strokes for different folks. I personally enjoy doing the mods. I like stepping back and seeing the finished product. I can proudly say that everything but the alignment has been done by my hands. OP I am sure there are members near you that would be happy to lend a hand.

Had time to take pictures. Had time to post it on Tacoma World.
Had time to install one of those parts.
Its a hectic world anymore and you have to make time where you can.
It comes down to how bad you want something.
    Good luck.

I have done multiple installs that have gone way into the night. Now get to turning those wrenches.

I’m starting to get a stock pile of parts.... mainly because I have one project holding up another and I still have parts I need to buy to complete said project so that it’s completed correctly the first time. Everything is slowly coming together though, and when I actually have all of the parts, I’ll find the time (and the beer) to install them.

I can understand this as I tend to get the buying done long before the install. Some things end up never getting installed and go on the sale forums.

But comparatively, based on how much you have there, I have the sniffles and you have Spanish Flu! LOL.

The real problem is that you research and then you buy based on the research that you’ve done.... and THEN you do some more research before your install and realize that you need more than you originally thought for your install, so you buy more parts.... it’s a viscous, never ending cycle.
