Ohio goes away with the front license plate on July 1.

I thought, "great! I'll just take the 2 screws out". Turns out I have FOUR frickin' holes for my license plate... 2 hold on the bracket. The other 2 that hold on my license plate go all the way through to my bumper.

Any bright ideas? I've found "Bumper Plugs", but they're $28 for 2. Tempted to just say screw it and keep it on, putting $56 elsewhere.

I’m in the same boat, going to measure the holes sometime soon, buy the plugs on eBay and paint it myself.

I was looking and my 2017 has no holes, or bracket for the front license plate, for Ohio, so I am going to be ok. I never liked front license plates, thought it was overkill, but,, thats me.

It’ll be much cheaper than buying it from bumperplugs.

Home depot/ Lowes has plastic plugs under $2 that work well.. I think they have those in white and black.

Yeah, go to the bolts and nuts section at the hardware store and look at the drawers for nylon plastic hole plugs. They usually come in black or white depending on the material they are made out of and you won't have to paint them if your truck is black or white. I find when painting plastic the paint does not like to stick and being on the front, rocks and bugs will cause the paint to chip off.

If you can't find the size you need, look up hole plugs on ebay as well.

I’ve got some bondo laying around I might try - with the right prep work and craft beer I think it’ll turn out nice.

Try using 5min epoxy....way easier to blend and fill the hole.

Ohio going away from front plates? Cali needs to jump on that train.

I bought my truck from Carmax like 5 years ago and they never gave me a front plate so I've never had one but it would be nice to not give cops an excuse to pull you over.

Nice thought. I think this or Bondo would clean up much better than any plugs...

I suggested the epoxy because the paint color will project through without any "real" touchups....the holes are small and would become undetectable.

    Go Team TW!
