I sent mine from San Antonio and it arrived four days after the expected date FWIW.

 

Mine arrived one day before I sent it. According to USPS.

 

It sounds like the symptoms vary from truck to truck. I have a very slight hesitation when the engine is cranking, but others seem to be more pronounced. I doubt if mine would ever cause any damage.

 

USPS tracking is all jacked up

 

I received my p5f activation key by email today, for my dongle that was mailed (regular mail) on the 17th. So I'm good to go when 2.0+Final+Final is released.
For those returning dongles that have not received their key yet... it would probably be helpful for them to know if you're "caught up" processing keys for the dongles you've retrieved from your P.O. Box.
Then they'll know if their dongle is still in transit, or maybe that it's in the P.O. Box awaiting your next trip to the post office. The "not knowing" is the hardest part.

 

I picked up all mail delivered up to today so we will be processing more once we go through them.

 

Got a question about gearlock. I haven’t used it enough and it’s not on my current tune. Does gear lock also prevent torque converter unlock?

 

@OVTune Mat, My dongle was sent on 4/15 and delivered on 4/17. Based on the dates provided by other users that have already received their keys, I’m growing a little concerned that I’ve slipped through the cracks. Can you please advise on what I should do, if anything. Thanks.

PS I have no expectation that you will respond to this, as I’m aware that this is likely not the right conduit of communication.

 

Not sure how the newest tunes handle it, but on previous tunes, gearlock greatly limits TC to locked.

 

IH I mailed mine around the same date and have not received my key also. I assume he's still working on them.

 

Assuming you're waiting on your p5f activation key.... did you Zendesk request then email the System ID for the computer you're going to use to flash?

 

appreciate it. I’m considering flashing back to 4.88 2.0 beta tune for this weekends towing trip just for gearlock. My 2019 5.29 tune doesn’t have it. this info is very useful in making my decision

 

Sure did. Based on the post by @habanero_taco I’m less concerned. I thought maybe he was sending keys out as the dongles were received and thought I got left behind.

I think he gets to the post office every so often, but not every day. Then he has to match dongles to emails, to get the System ID for whoever sent in that particular dongle, then he must contact his European connection to get an actual authorization key to email to that particular (former dongle) user. At least that's how I think it works. But in these crazy virus times, the mail and everything else seems to take longer than normal. And personally, even before Covid, I've had USPS, UPS, and Fedex stuff arrive to me when the associated tracking still said the delivery was in Timbucktoo. So you can't always rely on tracking. But the biggest problem here is that so many people are sitting home right now, twiddling their thumbs, just waiting for "soon". And waiting when you don't know if you're being forgotten (or lost) because you don't know if Mat still has keys to process, or if everyone else in TacomaWorld except you has received their key.... that's the worst part of the whole process.

Shit's fucked, we're all giddy for VF, please be patient.

 

Is 04B81 Supported yet? It’s not loading up on the flash manager, not sure if I missed something.

 

Just pulled the trigger on 5.29s from ECGS. Hopefully, the 2.0 5.29 tune is solid.
