yes, tuning of many vechles is legit. buying the software rights for each vin pays the dude that figured this out.

the factory knock correction is plenty capable of saving the engine.

for folks who want to do group tuning, I’ll be happy to work with you guys for a meet/mod-day for half price tunes if you guys are using a Common MPVI2.

As I slide down the slippery slope of cam gears and an intake spacer I’m starting to think I should delete the air pump while I’m in there. If I take it off the value cover and let it blow out in the engine compartment does it know? Would I be able to make it to Lynwood to for a tune?

 

I should probably do a pretuned ECU and slap it in there when I’m wrapped up.... but I’ll miss out on ribs

Oh man, that is nearly too good to pass up! Although it would probably speed up my decision on headers and cam gears since it would make sense to do all that at once for tuning purposes.

I bought an absolutely perfect AGM "factory blem" for our Eurovan at the Interstate here in Yakima. After the core charges for the two I left there I paid like $40 out the door. Felt like I stole it.

So I’ve read through the entire 3* Cam Gears thread. And in theory, I have a fair understanding of how to do the swap. But, is there anybody local who swapped their own who is willing to give any more tips or even a hand tackling mine should I decide to do them?
