I have some of those little basturds too.
I invented some new cuss words that day.
Wife told me not to talk like that.
I told her to shut up and get the hell out of my shop.

About how long did it take for you to grind/drill those rivets out?
Contemplating whether I should just take it to the shop when I get mines in lol.

They all came out with the drill, used a few stepping up, with the largest bit it grabbed and they wisted out.

They take about 1/2 hour each, using small bits at first, larger ones with variable speed drill so you dont break your wrist.

Yeah, you have to cut off the head flush then drill it out. A shop will charge you $500 at least for labor. It's not that hard, just physical work.

    Yup!

1/2 hour each sounds like you're doing it the hard way. No plasma cutter needed

Spend a day, cut the heads and use a ball joint press.

Actually the off-road shop I normally take my truck in if I need something fab quoted me $100 to replace my leaf pack (I have the parts) and do the hangers.
They normally work on jeeps and they only have one rivet each. if I let them do the hangers on mine, it’ll be first Tacoma that they replaced hangers... I told them it’s four rivet each, but they said it won’t take that long, lol.
Maybe they have some secret machine that pulls it out

Sweet, get it in writing and have them do it. I'm sure they don't know the amount of labor involved.

has anyone installed BAMF shackles with the older Dakars? i saw some guys trimmed their MD and HD Dakars but i have the older version, CS047R, and i just installed the extra leaf, D29XL.

it looks like i just need to cut the 2nd leaf to match the 3rd and 4th. who's done this?
