Tentatively planning to go back up on 5/9 to hit what I haven’t seen yet. Cane creek road to the south. Any side roads open on that end?

I just ordered the Pan Flannel the other day

 

I’m looking at driving up horse pasture road in the somewhat near future for the first time...is there anything I should know before making the drive from the Midlands?

 

Check the dates and make sure its all open, else that is a long drive for not much return.

 

Fair enough. Assuming it’s open, is there anything that would stop a stock height truck from getting through there?

Nah.. there isn't anything to worry about for a stock height truck. The main road is 80% gravel almost all the way to the lake. Some of the offshoots like Canebrake might have a dip and a small water crossing, but nothing to worry about. Check out the post for HPR (link in my signature) and there are a couple pics.

 

What Jay said. I did it in my old Prerunner bone stock all the way through.

Anybody happen to know someone who breeds Golden Retrievers?

 

Blue Sky Golden Retrievers is where we got our golden from. They are out of Dallas, NC just outside Gastonia. She will be 1.5 yrs old in June.
