Bilstein 5100 B110 bump stop height?

Hi, I just purchased a 2016 Tacoma TRD off road. I will be installing some BAMF hangers & shackles and OME Dakar heavy duty leaf springs (EL096R) along with some Bilstein 5100 B110 extended length shocks for the rear. For the front I am going with Bilstein 5100’s with OME 887 coils.

Would I need different bump stops for the rear? Front?
If so what height of bump stops would I need for this set up?

 

Do you have weight for the rear? 887s front and HD pack in the rear is gunna give you about 2-2.5" of rake after it's on

I have Bilstein 5125s so I don't need to worry about bottoming out, plus the Dakar HD pack is meant for holding weight and not so much flexing so you shouldn't need new bumpstops in my opinion.

 

I had the impression the OME 887 with 5100 shocks in the front will give me a 2” lift in the front? And 2” inches of lift from the HD pack in the rear? Am I getting this wrong? Hopefully I can change my order before it’s to late.

 

I am getting the HD Dakar pack because I am planning on hauling a slide in camper around 1,000 lbs.

 

a tape measure is your friend. But what you are going to find is that those B110 shocks going to make it to where you have to space your bumpstops quite a bit, limiting uptravel a good chunk while probably not being able to fully extend them during flex.

Just did the proper length 5125's on my EL095R pack and with stock bumpstops there is the perfect .5-.75in of shock left once the bumpstop contacts the frame.

 

For that much weight you’ll need to add a leaf to that HD pack. Or two. That’s a lot of weight man. Lots of people go custom for that type of weight. 887 will get you around 1-1/2 in the front after settling. I went to Dobinsons as my OME coils sagged a fair amount

 

Yep the hd leafs are for 600lb constant load.

 

Oh yeah with that much weight you might be sitting nose high then

 

Would air bags be a good option to add instead of extra leafs? So I can adjust the pressure according to weight?

 

FWIW I Run the HD pack with minimal load (100LBS) but load it up regularly for camping and hauling. I don't think the ride is to harsh with no load. I had MED pack before and sagged a lot when loaded up so I installed the extra leaf. I also installed the U-bolt Flip kit with super bumps as a precaution using the B110, I cant attest to actually needing it tho. I would also recommend against the 887 coil, after much research it seems there was numerous complaints about the coilover sagging including myself. maybe do a little search and see what you find.

as mentioned above for constant weight like (1,000 + lbs) a custom pack is the way to go.

 

I'm not sure about the specs for airbags as far as how much weight they are able to handle but they could be an option

I started a thread on them in the suspension sub. ATS Springs is the brand. Great company

 

After some more reading, seems like a lot of people are going with the 886 coil for the 3rd gen Tacoma’s because of the extra weight compared to 2 gen. Can anyone confirm that 886 will be a good option? I already ordered a pair of 887 from Wheelers hopefully I can call in and change the order before it ships

 

Once I get the camper I will have to see how bad it will sag. I will probably end up buying some OME
