Mostly mini truck link kits made to fit on a taco. In the case of rock (cock) slayer it's some meth heads that cant math selling an expensive kit that dipshits who dont know any better buy.

Half the fun is figuring out what you need to do to make what you want to make. In general I don't like kits, as you can usually source parts and material much easier and less expensive, all it requires is a little gray matter processing power.

I’m saying for someone that knows nothing about link geometry this is the route to take. Didn’t mean to come off as a dueche bag think about a new guy with all those brackets just throwing them at a frame and axle lol

I’m new here and never done the forum thing so sorry, I’m only trying to give good advise. The 4wu kit is the only one in the Toyota world that literally has everything you need, almost leaving all the guess work out of an install if you knowledgeable with some sort of weld/fab! Ruffstuff/Barnes builder kit is great if you have the skills to make outriggers bumpstop pads/brackets! 4wu has all that stuff, you just clean frame and start mounting welding etc.... other kits cost 600-700$ Add
    Coilovers1000-1200 not tuned correct
    Bumps500
    Tube200
Your 2500$ for a kit that might work for what you want or could spend a little more that will!!!

Not to argue semantics because I'm a cheap ass with free leaf springs, but I believe accutune will valve your coilovers for free if you order through them.

So, I just went to look. The brackets alone for the front are $800-975.

Does that include all the steering, panhard, and link ends? Or is that literally just a bunch of shop stock brackets?

No steering, so 4k+ for just the suspension. Just priced everything out.

My entire SAS including the axle, gears, tires and wheels driven out my garage was less than that.

True many company’s do tune but different link geometry requires different valveing, 4wu tunes to his kits with your weight of rig

Steering would be the cost of heims or tre’s, I just got tube for my setup 2” and 1.5 for around 200, I priced it at 3500$

    Okay, so proper steering:
    100 for a used box
    30 to tap for hydro
    200 for PSC
    45 pitman
300ish for all 7/8 heims (TR, DL, PH)
50 for 3/4" bolts and associated hardware
    150 1.5x0.25 Dom

That's to run a proper steering setup.

However, 900 for 300 in brackets is fucking insane. You could just buy a plasma and 3/16 and 1/4 and cut out everything. Afterwards, you'd have brackets and a plasma.

So, to be honest, you'd be in a better position if you went and just did that for everything instead of just the steering. Not saying the kit is bad or good, but there's a hell of a mark up in there.

Also, revalve isn't hard. I'll be doing my soon probably. You should be able to tune your shocks in the garage, kind of like where you adjust your seat. No one can tell you where it feels best.

My leafs out perform linked rigs all the time :notsure: I don’t think it matters what “kit” you run. If you don’t cycle the axle ad do your homework it’s going to perform like crap. Not knocking the 4wu stuff but you still have to figure out anti squat. Ride hi eight etc and make it clear whatever your running for engine, axle width/size. Tire size. Lots of variables.

You must wheel with people who can't do links. Links out perform leafs all day, every day. (This is assuming 'setup' is 'optimal')

The nutswinging is annoying when you're trying to research different vendors and parts...

The nice part is that up until 6 weeks ago, there was a ton of people spending a LOT of money for offroading parts so there are a bunch of options for vendors outside of dual cases. Ruffstuff, Currie, Dynatrac, TG, ECGS, Barnes, Slag Factory, etc.

    What's your definition of outperform?

Share the link calculations that Mar..I mean you did on yours for some learning about what the optimal setup is.

Where did I say I did my own links :luvya:

Mark didn't do my links btw, 2 other members on this forum helped me. I did do the numbers they did the welding. I can't weld.

I can share what I did for my specific truck, which won't be exacts as we did tweaking after the fact. I never re-did calcs. I saw no point
