A single cab shell on an Xcab fits but the top of the shell pulls away from the top of the cab by 3 fingers whereas the base of the shell pulls away from the base of the cab by 1 finger. It doesn’t look bad, but not perfect either.

It was $1500 for me and one of my favorite mods. I didn't want to spend $3K or more for a King or ADS 2" lift and 1" was perfect for me. My wheels and tires added 1" so 2" total now without significantly altering geometry of the factory driveline.
I have eliminated all of the things that I didn't like about the factory bilsteins, brake dive, rolling feeling with moderately aggressive turns. Smoothed out high speed ride on washboard. It is not for everyone but Toyota and Fox spent millions to tune these shocks specifically for the our Toyota's and that is what sold me.

One of my former interns did an internship at Fox last summer working on the Tacoma pro suspension. The product development is not as sophisticated as you might think. They probably still spent millions though.

As somebody who did the upgrade from TRD-OR to TRD-PRO suspension, it's absolutely worth 1K in my opinion. I can't stand how soft the suspension is from the factory and would do it again in a heartbeat.

The lift is whatever, but the ride comfort is what you're paying for.

Well... it may have been used once or twice over the past 17 years.

But I am... legitimately... putting WAY too many miles on my truck.

But, I don't even know how I would handle driving something else... I'd feel like I was cheating on her (the truck)
