Don't heat the bolts with a torch. Just heat the nut until it starts to turn red. Then the bolts should come loose very easily with an impact wrench

 

Yep, nuts are welded on. Bolt still wouldnt come off.

 

PB Blaster? Heat? I don't know what you have access to. I cut the nut off and hammered the bolts out.

 

That may be what I have to do, and then buy new bolts & nuts... The bolts are already pretty rounded out from trying so much. Got any tips? Lol

Haha, yeah. Im in Alexandria, like 35 or 40 mins from dulles (especially now with no traffic).

 

I mean we could heat it up with an oxy torch and i have some bolt extractors.

 

I’d be up for all the help I can get... The issue is, not sure if I could drive to you. Would the exhaust be too hot to mess around with after that drive?

 

Looks to be pretty open at the flange. I dont think it would be an issue. We could throw it on the 4 post.

Edit: worste case we could cut the old exhaust off and hot glue the new one on.

Its not my fault that the "man" decided to put a police department right outside my work, where i frequently do burnouts, 5 years before i started working there. Its entrapment i say!

 

Are the rules in this region the same as Texas where I need an OHV permit

 

A few places need daily permits. There is no statewide OHV permit in va.

Might have to drive out one day and see; going to be a mud fest for sure after all the rain.

 

DNR came through about a week ago or so,and closed a lot of the gates out this way. Flag pole is still open but places that have parking areas or communal spots seem to be closed. And yes it is very wet!
