There was a sleeve in there so the gasket was not what I thought it would be. Anti-seize on the bolts only Brother

Looks great. Also, I take back my post about pouring hot water over those dents. They're fucking beyond lava help.

    Or a tire carrier.

Easy, make the tailgate narrower on the passenger side, or just bolt hinges over there. Simple stuff.

OP, will you be posting the removed sections of your bed in the B/S/T section? With a new addition to the family, I should probably consider the amount of cargo that will be added to my future expeditions. With both of our truck's having the same paint code, I'm thinking that I should be able to cut in your removed sections flawlessly.

Unrelated, anyone here know of a seller that I can get JB Weld in 55-gallon drums from?

Well the bedside pieces are gone, however I still have the floor of the bed as well as the piece of bed mat I cut off. You could make something happen.

The piece of the bed mat is going to be integral to this plan. Scratch the JB Weld. I need self tappers and fender washers, STAT!

Thanks Bill, it's growing on me. I think this is a case of just being too up close with it for too long so I'm being hyper-critical. I'm sure once it's painted and mounted I'll care a lot less!

i don't see why you couldn't. That in conjunction with some mirror skid plates could save Randy 20's of dollars every year.

It really does add up after awhile. Also, when I first ripped my drivers side mirror off I ordered a replacement for each side. I've yet to break my passenger mirror so I have a spare sitting in my garage. I'm frothing at the mouth to rip it off.

Yes, but now his bed is so short that he won't need mirrors anymore. He can just use his peripheral vision

I agree and it will definitely protect the swing out, aka "tiregate" more like this too.

Backing it into the garage is a weird thing, seeing the tailgate so close.
