I have the Ego battery trimmer and blower for yard work and picked up the chainsaw last year. I have been super impressed with all of the tools and the battery chainsaw does not disappoint.

I ended up getting this bike for 600. I just installed a PNW cascade dropper post on it last night. It has a 2x drive train right now, and maybe next off season Ill upgrade to a 1x setup but for now it works. It doesn't have as much travel as some of the newer bikes but for the riding I do it should be plenty capable. :)

Gonna have a set of XT 2pot brakes for sale soon if anyone is interested. Used for about 9 months on primarily XC terrain.

I have some XT 180mm rotors with identical use I could include for a package deal.

I am in the same boat as you, and ended up getting a Trek Roscoe 6. It's probably too much bike for a beginner (and maybe where I live), but it has potential to be upgraded easily in the future if I want. And honestly, a big factor was availability. My LBS was REALLY low on inventory, sales were up 438% compared to March 2019 . So if you are more patient than I am, you're going to have more selection, new and likely used, in 6 months.

If that's a 29 you got a great deal! Depending on what size that Thomson post is I might be interested if you're willing to sell it.

I wish it was a 29er but it has 26 inch wheels. Seat post is 30.1 diameter. I am not sure what its worth. I may hang onto it until I am sure about the dropper I just installed.

Brand new roughly a year ago, but only had about 9 months of usage. All metro ATL XC terrain, and one weekend trip to Pisgah.

I have a 40V Ryobi with a 16” bar. Two months ago I would have given it a rave review, but I’ve been using it a lot lately and may have to junk it. One battery is shot ... just flashes the “defective” code when plugged into the charger. Another one tests and charges fine, but dies in the saw after a few minutes while showing full charge, yet lasts for a long time in my line trimmer. And the bar oil feed in the saw uses up all the oil in a few minutes of cutting - I can see oil flinging off the chain. I don’t think there’s any adjustment. I’m pretty sure it’s out of warranty and I have a couple of other Ryobi 40V tools that are quite good but thumbs down on the saw, at least my experience.

I want to really bad. Any camping there? 3.5 hours away would need at least an overnight trip.

mountain walrus would find that as a good value investment

For sure. That's what I'm there for - to build a ride catered specifically to you
