That’s a good point. Insurance companies could have different GAP coverage. I’ll have to double check our policy, but I think it’s supposed to cover difference in the vehicle’s value and the loan balance, whatever that may me be. I discussed it with our agent when we first started doing the GAP insurance and it was basically the same thing the dealer was offering.

I get it more or less for the extra piece of mind, since we are usually around the break even point or below when we drive it off the lot. I’ll have to log in and read over the policy for the new truck just to make sure.

Going to look at a Midnight black 2020 Tacoma TRD offrd double cab with the manual transmission. Total MSRP is $37,268.00. The dealer told me that the out the door price for the vehicle would be $36,423 with the 0% financing. I'm new to Toyotas and not to familiar with the going rates for them. Wanted to know if I was getting shafted on the deal. Im located in Maryland.

    MSRP 37,268
    sale price 33,731
    fee 300
    tags 351
    tax 2041.86

    total 36,423.86

Almost the exact same I paid and close on the truck only mines a short bed with a manual, they also gave me full trade for my Taco so I was happy. A few deals on here that maybe was another thousand there some place, but with the special financing and the trade I think I did good.

What region are you in? Out here on the east coast and up in the north east you can get 1.9 for 72.

USD, I failed to mention, I purchased the truck as a lease, never expecting to keep it. The truck had 16 miles when I took. The way things are going and being a less than essential worker, I made the decision to just purchase the truck. All said and done $4000 lost on the deal had this been a traditional purchase. For me I'm ok with it. Won't lose a second sleep and the truck will be mine not the banks.

2020 Tacoma TRD Sport (Sport for heavy highway use)
    4x4 DCSB AT
    Tech Package, Tonneau Cover, LEDs
    MSRP - $40,347

    Sale Price - $35,592 ($33,842 w/ rebate)
    Dealer Fee - $690
    Tax, Tags, Title, Reg - $1,733 ($1,661 w/ rebate)
    OTD Price - $38,014 ($36,192 w/ rebate)

Sales+DF off MSRP: With rebate is 14.4%, 10.1% with 0% APR

Going to try to get the price reduced by the dealer fee. I'm leaning 0% APR so would love to get that 10% a little farther down, let me know if anyone has any advice during these times. I know that the 10-15% range is usually the target. I'm aware of the 1750 and 0% APR being independent offers, but let me know if anyones pulled off 1750 and 1.9% APR. Excellent credit so I should be able to qualify if its out there.

I'm looking at MGM or Cement, does anyone have advice on whether MGM has the same issues as black in terms of keeping clean? I love the MGM look but really trying to avoid the nightmare that a black vehicle can be.

Looking to purchase a 2020 Off-Road Tacoma with no Tech package. MSRP is around $38,500 in my area. One dealership is down to $33,200 before TTL (with the $1,750 rebate). The other option is $35,000 before TTL (taking the 0% APR). Is this a good deal or should I continue to shop around?

    Edit: This is in Minnesota

When you say full trade do you mean full Kelley Blue Book trade value?

Yep, definitely good. A lot of dealers were trying to go $1-2k less than Kelley blue book trade value. Usually they were pretty good on the percentage off MSRP so it is somewhat coming out in the wash but not enough to go that much less.

Just a suggestion, I think we should post which state we are in when posting up prices as well.

Yeah I got 11 percent off MSRP before my 750 military rebate, I also took the 0 percent. Interest with 1.9 over 72 months was a little over 2500, So for me better to take the 0 for 60.

Exactly, but I just think its funny people with prior years, "I only paid $36k for my fully loaded..." ya bud so did I for my fully load 17 and 19, but the MSRP for a fully option truck for 2020 w/the additional content is quite a bit more. I just can't with people on here sometimes lol.

Was able to fit it into my garage last night. Only had 4 miles on the odometer.

It was delivered at 8pm and this thing looks way better in real life. Awesome truck so far other than I did see it hang in 4th gear today going 45 but did that only once so let’s hope that doesn’t happen a lot lol.

Yeah I got my 18 for 36 and it had every package I could do. I got this one for 39 and change before all the BS, but I got the advance tech package so that cost more. Also had more shit bolted into it as well.

Yep, the adv tech now, and prem package went up in price and LEDs, etc. a fully loaded TRD is $2-3k more than it was in 19. Yes a bare bones was only a $200 increase, but Toyota is not stupid and added content and increased the price on those packages.
