See you have a perfectly good truck, and want to upgrade it, and yes, you called her out for the same thing, but , since it wasnt your area of interest, you called it dumb.. I have many years experience in this, and yes, I am single now, for other reasons, but, always look at her view. Maybe take her out, for a nice long drive in your awesome Taco and then, well see what happens:) . Women never,, for the most part, understand our obsession with our trucks, or even why we call them girl names.. Go Figure, cant live with them, cant live without them.. The Tacoma I mean

That’s great! My girl doesn’t really care whichever... she’s used to traveling via plane instead of road trips. She’s more of a city girl that wants a sports car. Doesn’t mind going camping/overlanding and hiking though.

Same... it's not practical. Just buy once and be done with it.

How did you do those searches? I went ahead and requested to delete Quora (don't use it anyway) cause I didn't know you can backtrace like that. Good thing my co-workers are not handy with computers. Don't really care if you guys see it ;), but co-workers on the other hand...

    Both profile pictures of what?

This guy speaks truth. You're young and not even officially married yet. Be honest. If she's a good women she'll let you get what you want within reason. My wife of just 12 years is pretty good about letting me get what I want as long as its within reason and I can still afford to pay the bills. I didn't want her working when we had our 2nd child so it was a sacrifice we made as far as finances. So I have to be considerate of that. She is starting to look at getting back into the workforce now that my kids are approaching Junior High Age. So once she does I'll have more income to get more mods. For now I'm patient.

For a rock case... Literally the back is a rock... I told her I can make one for her out in the back since we have plenty of those... didn't take it too well.

Yes, honesty is vital, you bunch of Buzz Killingtons. :cookiemonster:

Lots of ways to do finances, as long as it's fair and honest. The system that always worked for me was that we each had our own checking accounts, and there were two more accounts that we shared: the emergency savings and the vacation fund.
Bills were split in a way that was fair to respective incomes. As long as the bills got paid and the two savings accounts got fed a certain amount, the remainder was our own to do whatever the fuck we wanted. :mudding:

That's pretty much close to the system we have. Except how we split the bills. It's more like I pay 70 she pays 30 because most of the stuff is under my name and we are technically not married yet so I don't think she needs to pay some of my bills yet that's under my name. Just split water, electricity, food, internet, and all the other random subscriptions we have.

Women do have problem wiht money, trhey buy stupid shits. my wife wanted new case after one month all the time. I bark at her, if you get that case then your phone will be damaged because you keep dropping it. Keep the otterbox.

That depends on the woman. My wife doesn't care to be spoiled at ALLL. My wife's idea of being spoiled is me getting her a 10$ tray of perennial plants from Lowes and a bag of soil. She loves flowers, plants etc.

I have been in this situation before. Spent money on the truck, boxes show up and I get reamed a new asshole...every single time. She had no problem spending $500 in a weekend on makeup and clothes, though. It got to the point where she was pressuring me to go on trips a TON and use the truck as intended. When the trips got cancelled and fell through, sure I was upset, but she would get so pissed off that I still would not go regardless. Fast forward, sold the house in the city, bought a house in the suburbs to start the next stage of our lives. Better schools, better area, overall happiness increased. Was planning a weekend trip in June last summer. The week of the trip, I couldn't sleep one night. Something felt off. Checked her phone on the nightstand and sure as shit, there it was. All the proof I needed. She was planning on having a guy come over to MY house and another guy out on the street to watch the house in case I came back early from the trip. Confronted her and she said it was a "joke" and that she would never do it.

Fast forward to September (3 months later). She leaves. November, she made an official announcement on Facebook that she is seeing another guy (different than the one in the story above). This new guy was over for a party one time with a bunch of other friends. I went to sleep and woke up at 3:30am that night to find that this new guy she is seeing was still at the house, alone with her WHILE I WAS ASLEEP UPSTAIRS. Fast forward again to a few weeks ago. Officially divorced. Marriage (on paper) made it almost 4 years.

Moral of the story? My Tacoma is more reliable and trustworthy than my ex-wife. FACTS.
