Alright guys so i have the old man emu OMETACO5HKSB kit on my truck now. dakars on the back all pro ucas up front. been on since 2016 and I've been happy with it but it is on its last leg. So i need to replace the worn out parts and honestly im thinking about ordering the same kit, but i have a couple of questions first.

I have a new set of oem leaf springs that i have never installed would i be better off to do an AAL?? keep in mind i still need new shocks and do the coils (886) wear out after a certain amount of time? They have at least 80-100k on them. Looking to not empty the bank if i can save a little coin by going this route any info helps thanks!

no not necessarily, but they are rusted pretty hard from all the salt maine likes to put down . They dont sag there just rusty and squeaky AF so there on the table for replacing. My last leaf pack(oem) snapped in half and almost punctured my brake line so im being cautious there aswell

I gotcha. Mine are a older than yours but we don’t often salt roads. I’m in a similar situation and am considering BP-51s but may just end up with the Nitrocharger Sports again

Then I'd only look to refresh, not replace. Happy is good.

Just based on mileage, or some other indicator?

    Over existing Dakars? Most doubtful.

I'd start there. 4 shocks and done.

So do we assume you're not a Fluid Film (or similar product) afficando who keeps everything protected?

If so, you might want to do a full frame inspection (ball peen, probe, borescope for closed areas) prior to dropping $ on a suspension refresh. Just to be sure the foundation is solid.

If the leaves are surface rust and all else is good, they can be cleaned, filmed, reassembled and protected and low to no squeak.
