Custom Sock bed decal for Michele
I was driving home today from running around and I guy followed me home.
He was asking some questions about my truck. He was driving a Tacoma but had 72 K miles on it. We started shoot the breeze and he wanted to know what all I had done to it, so I showed him all the goodies, and mod's plus showed him ones in the process of being done.
Then he asked if I wanted to sell it, he said he would give me 20K for it they way it sat w/the mods I was in the process of doing.
I joked around and said now if that was cash.....he said he would be back by 5pm. This blew me away, plus I need to talk to the wife, so I would need to think about it.
Man what am I to do, I have alot of time in it now, and it does not even have 30K on it. Yes I could go and get a new one, but it would take so much time to get it to the way I want it, if I could swing that way of thinking to the wife.
Need some insight on this, I don't want to end up kicking myself in the butt down the road. Also mine is paid for and has been that way since I got it.

Don't do it. $20K? Not enough IMO, even for an '05 (especially with 30K miles) given all that you have done to it.

tough one longbow, but if its the way you want it and you have no problems with it or reasons to sell other than make some money, then keep it. If yours was paid for when you got it, then money probably isn't an issue. Unless there is something specific on the new ones you want really really bad, you won't get a truck that is a whole lot different.

I've seen you and your truck and you are proud of it and should be. Its an awesome ride!:D
Besides dude, its deer season and if you let the huntinmobile go, you'll kill time during season trying to replace it..................

    p.s. you know I'm a wheeler dealer.....so go 25k and its his!!hehe

yeah man, should have mine on shortly and then our trucks will be brothers:D

Thanks I needed that......:D nah I can take him, if that becomes an issue. Plus I got his plate numbers, some things you automatically see.

I do see a Mod changed my title for the post....way to cool and thanks.

Don't get me wrong, when I purchased this truck I got one heck of a deal for my Tundra, plus had enough saved to get it lock, stock and barrel.
What is getting me is I have it the way I like it, and the thought of starting over.....well. I need to talk to the little lady and see what she thinks.

Same thing kinda happened to me. I was stopped and asked about my truck, but not for someone too buy it. He had a Titan and wanted to know how I like my truck. Told him I was in love with it ofcourse. Camebgack wen I was washing it 2 days lter and wanted to talk some more. He is a guy from the neighborhood, so no worries on theft. But Never did it happen when I drove an F150

    Personally - I wouldn't do it.

I know that after all the mods I have done (and intend to do) to my truck - I could not part with it.

    Look at it this way,

How much would it cost to mod a new Tacoma, back to the way you have yours now....

Plus the memories would be gone....and I have memories in mine.;)

Keep your truck. Thats your baby!

if you are happy, why sell it? You would be looking at another 8K to buy a new one. Then you need another $__ to mod it....then dont forget about taxes, so another 2K on top of that. And who doesnt love dealing with car dealers.
