Just curious, did the 3 degree shims solve the vibes for you? I have the same setup with 1.5” block and have slight vibes around 55mph. I was looking into getting some shims or swapping to AAL if people are having good experiences with them as far as not having vibes. Thanks man and your truck looks great!

Some blocks are already tapered to correct the pinion angle. Have you checked yours to see if they are or not?

I’ve looked at those also. Mine are not tapered

There are some on eBay that are tapered for about the same price as shims.

    She’s looking great though!

I took the advice of Toytec and added them from the start. Went for a quick drive today and didn’t notice any vibes.

Are your 1.5” blocks the MaxTrac ones from HS?

Maybe you will have no issue since they’re all a little different. I may order some tapered blocks and try them, they’re about the same price as shims.

Not to make you worry, they’re pretty minor vibes.

The 3 Leaf AALs were designed to be run without the overload, to run it with the overload defeats the purpose of the design. If you are simply just looking for more lift I propose running a 1/2" shim or a 1" block coupled with the 3 leaf depending on the lift height you are trying to achieve.

without the overload how does the 3 leaf prevent the leaf pack from going into a deep negative arch?

Awesome! Thanks for the reply back. I ordered the same lift and rear leafs. Just wanted to see how yours was set up. Your truck sits perfect to me! Great job.

Will 2 degree shims add more lift to the rear, or is this just meant to restore the drive-line angles to factory specification? and are they a recommended addition to a lift like this?
