3D Printed Raptor Style Lights For 2020 Stock Grill

    I actually like the new 2020 grill that came with my truck but kinda like the amber lights available for the pro grill. So I picked up some smoked out amber LED'd off Amazon and sat down to make some basic mounts. I found the grill is tapered in a way that if I made the mount flared to match it almost squeezes in place without any sort of clips molded into it. I first made it so it took up the whole cavity but then decided to add air bypass to each side. I ended up just chopping off the sides all together. I printed on white PLA just to get the basic fit and plan to print on dark grey ABS if it all works out. I plan on driving some miles on them to see how they stay in place before anything else. Think of it as a rough draft.

    Looks good, but IMO it should go corner to corner to fit the shape of the diamond like grill opening and mimic what an OEM grill light might look like?

    Still Making changes and tweaking things but if guys want to give it a go I have uploaded the working files to Dropbox. Let me know if you are unable to download them. I have never used Dropbox so not sure if I set it up correct to share the file. (I didn't realize you could upload .Zip files so I uploaded it below).I used Solidworks to make the model but I saved it in .STEP and .STL in case people are using other software(Autodesk Fusion). Looks like Amazon is out of the exact lights I designed it for. Smoked lens with amber LED's. They do have other versions of the light in stock. Clear or amber lens with either a white LED or amber LED.

    Great job, OP. I love the grill on my 2020 OR but was thinking of swapping to a Pro grill just for some raptor lights. Hopefully soon I can have the best of both worlds.
