Those rims look just like Araya 7x with the size and that ridge but I never saw them in chrome. What are they?

They don’t have a label? I don’t think they’re chrome though just highly polished. This bike really impressed the shit out of me.

Awesome if that is polished aluminum, Mother’s mag and aluminum polish ftw.

Yeah that bike is legit, real pedals, seat, all the details are right. You got me watching ebay for a cruiser, I forgot how fun that style of bike is for neighborhood riding. There is a set of jumps down the street I hit with my MTB but now that I’m on a 29” a 24” makes more semse as an alternate

I used one. 16-17 or 15-16 depending on the track. We used to race on the Malibu Grand Prix paved raceway on weds. nights and I'd use the 15 rear and just smoke guys. Ahh memories!

    Sweet pics.

And good guess though but nope. American Bad Ass which is a nickname I've had in darts for about 20 years, and 180 being the highest you can score in a turn with 3 darts.

    Sweet!!!

Ahhh yes the old flip flop hug. Those were more popular for racing but occasionally someone who rode ground and ramps would have one for easy gearing changes, just flip the wheel over.

Here's your bike as sold new

    http://oldschoolmags.com/tests/Mongoose_Decade_Pro_FSSpec8704.pdf

Count your spokes, IDK if they're 36 or 48 spoke from the pic. If you in fact have Mongoose Pro Class wheels, my advice is remove them and store them safely..they're worth some serious coin. Might end up having to pull the tire/tube and look inside for marks though.

I’ve had that Pro Raider since Christmas 1984. I’m lucky.

They aren’t 48, my old one was. I have new tubes coming this weekend, maybe I’ll be able to see some sort of markings when I change them

At a glance I was thinking 36 anyway. When you do that, definitely look..there's got to be some kind of mark underneath. Guessing nothing on the hubs?

In my Schwinn before that has the original Redstone mags..which you had to buy a Schwinn bike to get. They were prone to failure, so I bought a set of the new Skyway Tuff IIs with coaster brake in the after pic. Have to remove the paint from the originals and bleach/clean them, but I'll only mount them if I bring it to a show

The Urchins were definitely strong. It was the amount of blood loss that caused me to get rid of them. Greg Hill was the Man

    Still thinking about it.
Same here, buddy. There was a pro event at my local fairgrounds (Adams County, CO) and the day after I was a spectator, we got to race our own event before they tore down the track. I messed up bad on a tabletop and managed to crack my seat stay above the top tube.

But it was so cool seeing the pros show up in rental cars with their bikes in shipping boxes in the trunks of the cars...
