Anyone with catless dump tubes running the 04b04 2.0 beta? I got the check engine light codes p0420 and p0430 for the cats. Went back to 19800. @OVTune

I'm giving it very little throttle. I'm just making like 90° turns into neighborhood streets and it upshifts as soon as I straighten out from the turn. It even upshifts with ECT enabled (which normally upshifts no earlier than 2000 Rpm).

I did run it and the check engine went off. If I’m not mistaking previous tunes the check engine light didn’t always go off. I’m back on 19800 I’ll wait for the new catless dump tune.

yeah, it didn't go off on the previous tune because there were specific tunes for the catted and catless tubes that are different than the base or stock tunes

 

FWIW I am running the M/T 2.0 file that is specific for the M/T's with dump tubes. I also have a CEL for the O2 sensors on this file where the previous dump tube files did not set a CEL. I have had a zendesk ticket in with Mat for a while now but shit went sideways in the world with this virus stuff and all the changes with OVTune itself, I think Mat got buried trying to keep up. I am fine waiting as Mat gets through the next couple weeks getting the vfTuner launched and then hopefully he can dig into why this file is setting O2 codes.

 

If you want the finished 2.0 tunes, you need both. Vf only comes with examples / templates

I am really wanting to get clarification on the different modes for ect and s mode with the new release. Going to be doing a drive towing and would like to be able to try new stuff out.

 

If you are going just fast enough and decelerating it could upshift. If you are accelerating, I would not expect an upshift.

Already mentioned before, quite a few Tacomas came from the Factory low on automatic transmission fluid (ATF). If you have not already checked your ATF level, you should look into doing so via DIY or a shop. You can find the DIY by searching here on TW.

If you are sure your ATF level is correct, you should reload the tune and clear AT and LV.
