One tweak, that open space above the main roof but under the Car port roof will be an issue. I would just make Asymmetrical roof and have it at least come down to roof edge on that current open side.

Quick screen grab but I think this illustrates what I am calling an Asymmetrical Dormer style

I was undecided if I should tie the carport into the main roof or not as it was

Is Permitting like a Deck, less hassle if you don't ledger (tie in) it to house and just put ground posts in?

Well the COVID put a monkey wrench into my moving north plans. Though my house offer was accepted when I put it up on the market in March, my work has decided to move our management team around which keeps me at my Aurora office and my DTC office. With that said, being that we wanted some land and with interest rates dropping we chose to still sell the house (closes on the 11th) and found a home in the Elizabeth/Parker area on 5 acres, closing at the end of the month. Really lucked out with it, had I closed on a house up north I'd be kinda screwed. Home needs a little work, but the property is what really sold us.

TGIF- speaking of housing, anyone lives or has lived in a subdivision that is considered special metro tax district? Any opinions (good or bad) you want to share? :hattip:

It’s Denver, so I’m sure just attaching a flag bracket to the outside of the home in itself is a permitting nightmare
