I’m running 265’s with 1.25” wheel spacers and considering taking the spacers off and going to 275’s and I’d love to see some pics.

This is just a looks thing right? My truck came with 265/65/17 stock and it looks pretty good. I can't figure out if this is worth it just for looks, I mean does it go far enough for the cost? Do you have to have the speedo re-calibrated as well?

For me, it’s just a looks thing but I opted to go 285 so I can have a C rated tire. It’s time for me to get new tires so I decided to go up in size since I’m already lifted and have minor modifications that should allow me a larger tire.

A question for you are you running spacers with the OEM wheels or do you just have an after market UCA to run the 275s? I have a 2" lift, stock UCAs, stock sport wheels and my 265s are about to get replaced. Any info is great info thank you.

No spacers. Icon UCAs with icon coils. No rub20200527_085103.jpg 20200527_085037.jpg at full lock to lock. I'm probably up 3 in the front and 4 in the rear. Still have plenty of clearance.20200527_085103.jpg

So I’m still at 265/65/17 but will upgrade to 285s next. I have SPC UCA, toytec aal with (2015 leafs) & rear boss shocks, & toytec eibach/billy coilovers. Can’t wait for the new tires. These crosswinds came with my truck when I bought it, so can’t complain. Tires make a helluva difference, these have 12k on them.

    They look so tiny now!

I’d like to upgrade my spindles with TC gussets. Do the cmc & pinch weld, lose the flaps & then get me some C load 285s. Those 275 KO2s look damn good. I’m probably going Nitto or KO2s. Easiest C load tires to get in 285 & not as expensive as duratracs!!!

Great pictures and thank you I am just trying to decide on the UCAs at this point. Now I know the Icons and LR SPC UCAs will work for fitting 275 70 17 KO2s on a stock sport wheel with a 2" or greater lift. The offroad and tire shops don't know sh#t and told me to check the forums on Tacomaworld. Sound advice...lol.

do you have any rubbing? Specifically on the cab mount area? I’m trying to decide what offset to do (0,-12,-25) with the same tire specs and wheel size. Also I have a 2” lift in front and 1” in the rear.

If you go up any size and change offset, you will rub full crank. I had the my cab mount chopped prior to lift and it still rub the wheel liner with 275/70/17 and -10 offset.

Greetings everyone. Stupid question here. I just purchased a 2016 Tacoma TRD last month. Took it to Toyota dealer for diagnostics and the one thing they found were the General LT 275/70 R17 tires they were concerned about the 1/2" clearance. Doesn't seem to be rubbing as there is no evidence but they mentioned ball bearing damage by the oversized tires. Are they pulling my leg? The truck is stock lift. Thanks in advance.

I thought only big negative offset could damage the bearings
