Well I'm already committed at this point. One wheel raw, can't have just one looking fucked up, better make them all look fucked up.

 

jasco plaint stripper from hardware store. wear industrial gloves and mask. that shit will strip the lines off the road.

 

Soda blast it if you're able to. Muriatic acid will pit the aluminum and release some gasses you really don't want to breathe.

 

The exhaust has not been chopped yet....that will happen today

I kinda remembered something about noxious gasses and don't let it sit long on aluminum or it'll eat it. Basically spray, quick scrub and rinse it thoroughly was how I clean up some old aluminum wheels on an old truck I had.

 

@bobsuruncle I had 4 wheels sand blasted in Arlington for $100 cash, well worth it IMO, but you're a quarter of the way there already

So you're saying ~$75 . I found an attachment for pressure washers that siphon's in blast media. So it blasts and then also washes the debris away at the same time. Might just give that a wirl.
