HELP. I’m about to buy the OME full set. I want the full leaf set included but is this option that it’s giving the full dakar set or is this just one individual leaf for each side?? I want the lift in the rear so would a single leaf do? I feel like I should replace the leafs entirely since as far as I know they’ve never been replaced. I’m at 265k. The price stays at $1199 whether I include the leaf option ornot. Sale ends tonight so I’m panicking

if you plan to throw a lot of shit in the back and weigh it down then probably get the AAL, if not then youre fine without it. you can always add the AAL later

That item includes the Dakar leaf pack for both sides. The option for "With Extra Leaf" or "Without Extra Leaf" is just if you want to include an add-a-leaf. When I'm on the page the kit with the add-a-leaf is $1,239.26, and without it's $1,179.90.

Ok that clears up a lot. I guess if there’s no price change then I might as well include it? At least not that I saw. I don’t load the bed a whole lot but I will every now and then and I do plan I’m getting another dirtbike eventually. Maybe my webpage is screwed up cus it doesn’t show a price difference. Weird.

I suspect there is a price change, I think the AAL/pair is somewhere between $50-60. If you add it to the package it comes separate ( from the leaf packs- or at least mine did) but you only end up paying shipping one time.

Also as someone mentioned earlier, you will need to get an extender plate for the rear brake proportioning valve(might come with the kit) and plan on an extended rear brake line- probably best to get one at the same time. That way you have everything on hand.

I installed my springs without installing the line, made it a bit more involved- trying to keep the rear axle from being supported by the brake line, not difficult but still a bit of a PITA- luckily I carry a fair bit of weight, so the line wasn’t stretched but it could be with an empty truck.

Ended up replacing that line a month later when I had the rear wheel cylinders replaced.

OME 881 springs with 3/8 spacer. SCS SR8 16x8 Gunmetal 285/75/16 Yokohama G003 Nitros all 4 corners. Dakar rear leafs. Deckplate mod. Marlin Crawler 1200lb clutch. Redline hood struts. ECGS clam shell bearing. Philips LED headlights. Front Runner bed bars. Katskinz leather interior.
If your not hauling alot of weight the Dakar leaf pack is plenty no need for the AAL. Also with the 882 you better be running a front bumper or prepare to replace CV axles in a year. I went 881 with 3/8 spacer and it's about a 1/2" difference then the rear when unloaded. When the rear is loaded with camping gear it's about level.

I think I do plan in getting a tube bumper from summit racing in late August. I don’t think it’s a heavy bumper so I think 882 should be fine? Let me find a picture.

I have all the brake lines I need in the shopping cart and I’ll look into that extender plate. Thanks!

Not sure what the weight is on that bumper. Wheelers is really helpful with any questions you may have. Give em a call if your still on the fence.

The truck has no bumpers cap etc. Its just a extra cab 4x4 dc v6 so 881 is what the consensus is?

And because it isn't a dc (double cab), your truck is lighter on the front end which means you can get away with running an 881 instead of a heavier/stiffer spring.

My Elite bumper was the bare bones one and weighed in at 98# on the bathroom scales. Harbor Freight 12k winch was 90# with the supplied cable. 881 springs are supposed to net a 2" lift with the v6.

I just ordered a full set up for my 5 lug from rocky road outfitters. They said it would fit so I guess I will find out soonish. I got ome on my 1984 4runner and they are like driving a land yacht. My budy in a jeep was bottoming out every 10 feet on the mojave road but it was just smooth up and downs for me!
