Why leather? Isn't cloth better?

    I find leather slippery. Like I feel I just slide around. Plus in shorts, my legs stick. Cloth>leather IMO but to each their own. Leather is easier to clean but then again you can always just put a seat cover over the cloth to mitigate ware :thumbsup:

    Usually a well intentioned thread that turns into a complete dumpster fire. Tacomaworld is like a giant dysfunctional family, with all kinds of senseless bickering at times. But, everyone gets along pretty well in general.

    I may have jumped the gun with that comment, though, as it seems like most of the posts here are staying on topic.

    I'm going to guess that if it was a Toyota from the last 20 years, that you didn't get leather, but fake leather. The vinyl that they use now looks and feels like leather, but it isn't leather. It is vinyl.

    Could be. It was a 2003 SR5 that must have had some sort of premium package.

    I guess my comments were more relevant to the leather/vynil VS cloth argument. I prefer whatever they're calling leather these days.

    But, it's personal taste.
