they pulled my bedsides in just a little bit, there wasn't too much flex as the truck only has about 70k and i bought it 8k miles ago, but i did it as a preventative mod since i already have a 100lb bed rack on there and will soon be installing a 200lb RTT. so i figure why not beef it up now? some suspension upgrades are on the way next

I have the chance to get brand new OEM cast aluminum running boards for $300 but they're off a 2016. I believe these will still fit a 2015, correct?

I don't have a camper, but I do have racks and carry large kayaks often off-roading (so lots of side to side action). I had taken my stiffeners off recently to refinish them as some rust was showing. When I reinstalled them, I forgot to tighten a couple bolts on one side. Couple months later, I noticed a slight gap starting to form between my tailgate edge and rear side panel. Checked my bolts, tightened things back up and all was straight. Anyway, point being, without the stiffeners I'm sure my bed sides would be out of whack and tweaked out. It's peace of mind for me and extra tie down points. I'm glad I have them.

Still waiting to here back from the warranty department, but the Service Tech said they replaced other frames that were not as bad and he is sure it will be covered. :bananadance: On another note, there was a recall on the seat belt mount for my truck (2011 AC) so they were also going to replace that, but they don't have the part on island and it needs to be shipped here. They gave me a 2017 Sport as a loner, and I have to say, I like my 2011 better. The only cool things I like on the 3rd gen is the wireless charging, power sliding rear window, and the ability to turn the rear brake light on the cab into a bed light. All of these things can be done on my 2011 with a little time and money. The tech also said, "2011-2015 were the best years for the Tacoma", and I totally agree after driving the 2017.

Gave the truck it's first (for me) oil change and installed a Fumoto valve.
