The eddy is exactly where I have been catching.

Right to the right of the rapids is an eddy.

 

ok go a little north to that point, and cast upstream, if you can get past those riffles on yer side, there is a nice eddy there,, ease off the lead (if ya can)

 

I have been casting into the rapids. Letting it take my bait down stream and when it hits the eddy it comes back and settles down close to the rapids.

Is that what you mean?

 

from the pic... it APPEARS that you can drop some (if not all) that lead, you will get a better feel for pick-ups (dull sensation) or bumps ? mebbe try that
