Then if you rip a tire you'll be in a worse predicament. Even if your spare isn't the same size it will get you home or at least to a garage.

I have a 2015 TRD OR Access cab w a camper shell and ez topper lift. Main use is rafting/biking/camping.

I’m contemplating getting the following lift: It seems well thought out including bump stops and brake lines. What’s the general consensus on this overall kit?

Its a good package. Personally I like the ome dakar leafs better than the all pro but to each his own. Now you just need to figure out what settings for the front spring notches, order and put in a ECGS bushing, ditch the front diff drop and depending upon how high in front, getting aftermarket uca's with the order.

They state they set at the highest notch up front which is @ 3” lift and the leaf springs are 3” lift. I was kinda hoping to stick @ 2” so I could avoid the added expense of UCA’s. Any experience w this leaf pack? if it settles to 2-2.5” I could set the fronts at a lower clip and avoid UCA’s correct?
I’ve read about the benefits of the ECGS bushing. Could you explain or point out a thread on diff drop? A lot of the off the shelf kits either include the parts or offer it as an option

6112's are usually set at 2.5 inches even on the top notch but you do have an AC though so if you want to stick around that height of 2" I would be having it set on the 3rd notch. Aftermarket ucas are always a good idea but not completely necessary.

Any experience w this leaf pack?

Personally no, I don't but I have heard that they really don't like weight and are more made for lift and not load bearing weight with height. This is why I like the dakars because they are made more for extra carrying weight capacity along with lift. The reason why I bring it up is because of your camler shell cap.

if it settles to 2-2.5” I could set the fronts at a lower clip and avoid UCA’s correct?

Yup, but like I said, I would upgrade in the future for better caster

I’ve read about the benefits of the ECGS bushing.

Just do it. You will have everything taken apart anyway and it stop front end vibes. No downside.

Could you explain or point out a thread on diff drop?

It looks like the kit comes with one. Personally I wouldn't put it on but to each his own. Most don't put it on because it can cause more hurt than good. Not to mention you will not be able to put on an aftermarket front skid with it on and it will lower your clearance in the front.

You will most likely need a 1/4" tophat spacer for the taco lean on the driverside front. I have always trust Headstrong offroad @HeadStrong Off-Road , great customer service and always free shipping. This might be a package to look into as well and you can talk to Marie over there and she will fix you up right specific for your rig.

I was thinking of the weight, since my rig will weight nearly 7000 pounds when it's all said and done. It's pretty unlikely that a 10-ply E load rated tire will fail in the field, but I get your point.

I will never run without a spare personally, but I also like to go to out of the way places. I have lost heavy ply tires on rocks and stumps, once on a 2x4 that was kicked up by a car in front of me on the hwy. I run 255/85s right now and fit the spare below the bed without doing anything. 255s are slightly taller by math than a 285, so a 285 should be fine there. What I don't know is if a 285 a) will fit the spare rim, and b) will clear the UCA while on a spare rim. The 255s look pretty damn close on the spare rim. You could always also get a used 255 series tire that you know will fit the spare and clear the UCA. Would be pretty close in rolling circumference to the rest of your set and is lighter.

I have All Pro Expo leafs and have found that they don't carry weight well, if I put anything in the bed I'm basically riding on my bump stops. I also run a diff drop and haven't had any issues. Depending on how high you lift the rear, your driveshaft will be pulled out of the yoke and you can experience vibrations. A driveshaft spacer and diff drop can help eliminate these vibrations.

I wouldn't say weak, still much improved over stock, but I don't get anywhere near the rated capacity that this pack should support and still maintain its height

Deaver's expedition series (and custom leafs) are very well respected. A lot of people buy a cheaper option and are then disappointed when they don't perform. Buy once and cry once, as the saying goes. Deaver is significantly more expensive than other options, but it doesn't pay to cheap out on leaf springs, especially if you're carrying a heavy constant load.

Totally agree. I just have the Deaver AAL 3pack without the OL and I have to be be loaded to the max and hit a pretty big dip to feel the bumpstop! Haven't touched it a long time. I haven't looked back or even thought about the suspension in about 3 years aside from a click noise it get from the front when hitting a dip. It's holding up well. Still have the lift with only minimal settling.

Headstrong offroad is usually the best place to go. The big aspect of the 6112 setup is not whether or not it is on sale but whether or not it is in stock. They always have free shipping. You might get a better deal somewhere else but after paying for shipping, the costs are usually more.
