I’ve taken my dash apart so many times…

I’m sure my head unit has come out at least 10 times by now

Head unit only once for me, lower part a couple of times. When I was wiring up things originally the truck was down for three days, took my time getting things done, actually moved the original cigarette lighter to back of the center console so there was a power port for the back.

Good deal, I could use more time to do this without rushing, lol. I was wanting to mess with my aux cord switch thingamajig, but not sure how to get to that area.

I don't think aftermarket trim is very snug. Can't keep my headunit straight in the thing and trim pops out very slightly instead of locking into place.

I'm sure, but I haven't thought about anything that I'll need to use switches or anything for yet, so I haven't looked.

it locks out the settings when you aren’t parked. Just like the factory one does

I haven’t had any issues with mine. Sometimes they require some finagling to get to sit right though

Subbed. I like that mounting plate over the battery.

Ok, I will try and keep messing with it once I get the bypass, but I don't think there's anything I can do to make it better. Will see though.

I sure hope you're right. The alternative is scary.

I took the afternoon off, did some stuff for mom, and picked up my head. Then took a nap. The perfect Friday.
