My plan, as well. I used my compressor in the garage. But I can use my VIAIR 400 portable from my truck. Still would like to find a small hand pump to carry in the the boat.

 

There are one of these cup holders on each side.

Each bag itself will hold a 12 pak

Just wanna put it out there that I'm looking to buy a rear diff skid for TRD Offroad, and a gas tank skid. If anyones got anything laying around hit me up

i need a pro tip. i installed extra leafs to my Dakars and BAMF shackles/hangers and i can't get the driver's front eye to line up. passenger side bolted up no problem but driver's is off by 1/2". maybe the axle moved forward a bit or the extra leafs are skewing things?

i can get a screwdriver in there but i can't move the leaf pack enough to get the bolt in. tried moving the jack on the diff up and down and shaking the hell out of the leaf pack but no dice.

 

Pro tip: unbolt the leaf from the ubolts, make sure that the leaf is free from the rear shackle, use prybar.

 

I take it you don't have a spud wrench or a good sized pry bar. Basically, a spud wrench is a piece of round bar tapered and used for alignment. You could also use a come-along too. I could loan you either.

 

spud wrench is exactly what i need. if i had a tool robust enough to pry that bitch over i think i would find joy. i may need to source one of these tomorrow.

driver's ubolts are not on. i was thinking maybe loosening the passenger ubolts may give the axle enough play to line up the driver's leaf pack.

 

I had tha same problem, I found it easier to start the bolt in the rear before putting the front end eye in the mount.

 

It's not a very common tool though you might find one at Home Depot. It'll be in the

$27 Lichamp 16" Adjustable Construction Spud Wrench

giant adjustable end wrench section. Which is usually in that little tool crib section and over by PPE/tool kits.

 

Is the tire still on the axle? If you get it close it’s really easy to use the tire to roll the off side of axle into place. As long as the rest of the truck is supported. This is where a bumper jack is great.

Otherwise loosen the ubolts. Bolt up the leaves and then attach the axle.

Either way their will probably be a slight bind that moving the axle with the wheel will help.

hmm, i may give this a shot. can't hurt. i'm left handed so people are always accusing me of doing things backwards.

thanks. of course the only hw store by me is ACE. if they had one it would cost $100. seems like a pretty good tool to have though.
