    Probably.
    I wouldn't know.

I don’t know if anyone would really like to know this but I found out a Honda Ridgeline tent fits in a short bed pretty good

I’ve always found those interesting since it’s like the og rtt’s but the downside is needing to unload the bed to sleep in it. Though half the time I feel like I unload half the bed at camp anyway. :notsure: love seeing different tent types being used

First thought on emptying the bed to sleep in it is bad weather.. starts raining all your gear is soaked. Second thought is wild animals/bears, my food always stays in the bed and any trash bags go in as well before going to bed..

LOL this is great and all, but like legit goes against everything advised when actually in real life bear territory...

but I get it though, overland = prepared for everything even when not far from anything

Yea I personally think those tents are ridiculous. Have to empty the bed to set it up, but it’s basically a ground tent, but unlike a ground tent you can’t drive off with your tent set up. They took the worst part of a rtt and the worst part of a ground tent and the worst part of cleaning out your truck and turned it into one thing.

But I hope I’m just not understanding the intended use and I hope anyone that has one enjoys it. In the end, if it makes someone get out and have some fun then it’s a good thing.

have you ever been in bear territory? You ARE supposed to keep food and trash and coolers locked up inside your vehicle if you don’t have a better means to keep it protected, like a bear box.

I think you’re missing the point while trying to troll people man. A lot of camp sites don’t have a way to keep your food away from animals other than lock it in the truck or hoist it into a tree and I’m not rigging up a way to hoist my fridge and 4-5 days worth of food into a tree at every campsite, so we do the next best thing and lock it away in the vehicle.

no shit jackass but bear boxes dont naturally occur in nature. When you’re camping in Rocky Mountain national park, you can use a bear box. But when you’re at a remote site you will not have a bear box. That’s where keeping all smellables locked inside your vehicle comes into play.

A simple bear canister is for backpacking. You’re not stuffing all the contents of a fridge in a bear canister.

middle of nowhere: you tell me where I should put my food if my fridge in my locked truck isn’t good enough.
    52A25B9E-EBA5-4D90-85A6-BB8938314A65.jpg

I do have a bear canister for backpacking, and I do have a yeti cooler that is bear proof when locked. But leaving either of those outside of the vehicle would result in them ending up at the bottom of the hill.
