I dunno about anyone else but I'm paranoid of bears, so I put my food in the tent and I sleep in my Yeti.

My thoughts exactly. It'd take me too long to unpack and repack the bed each time. I guess if you only go one spot to camp for a few days and you're going to unload everything anyway, it's fine. Certainly not something I'd take on a road trip tho

@uurx You are terribad at trolling.

Typically my food is locked in the fridge or in my air tight sealed dry box in the bed. It at least blocks the scent. Garbage goes in the cab though. Non cap problems.

I used to have one of those Right line tents
Used it a few times, but... As mentioned, it was kinda inconvenient to put up/ take down everyday, especially if the truck was all muddy or whatever.
Anyways, Rightline tent doesn't have a floor, so you don't even have to take the cooler out of the bed :boink:

my bad wasnt trying to be a dick here this morning...

it just bothers me how a select few here love to shit on others for figuring it out on their own, lets be real people learn by trial and error and even with an open book test humans fuck it up the first time...

i know for me my systems have changed through the years as my needs, experience and locations have changed

a lot of "one upping" going on here, its like the stereotypical north east thing

Orly? That's not as bad then, the other one the guy posted had a floor. Is that photo from AOAA?

Obviously, and most of us fully support that. That's how I built my rig too. The problem I have seen over the years is people have FB or TW ask them how to build their rig and they go full build before even knowing what they want. What's the point of spending $5-10k on mods before ever even knowing what you want out of your truck? It's dumb. Or they build it for the likes.

Regardless your posts this morning was straight up trolling, I know this because I troll all the time. Shit I trolled the fuck out of that guy who posted the patch just to revive the thread, I'm not ignorant to that. But fuck, it worked at starting actual discussions instead of this thread being a dead snooze fest.

Also the TNJT is a joke. It was created by dual sport/adv guys where it’s actually a fun ride/challenge. In a truck it’s stupid easy and boring. It’s something that should have stayed in the adv world but every Tom Nick and Harry wants to be overland and say they did a “trail” so it bled into the truck world.

I can’t say I’ve ever done a trail but i can say I use my truck as a truck. Does that count?

Your opinion of the trail is not welcome here. Please reframe from any advice and let people find out it’s mostly pavement on their own.

I have no problem with people using their truck as a truck or however they want. I just want to see people using their truck and not labeling it. Or thinking they need x to do y. Just go out there and do your thing and stop trying to be a part of a specific category just to fit in. (Not you specifically, people in general)

Sounds like fun, but I'm at work doing "essential" things.

I like to have the floor since I also ride dirt bikes and load them into the bed all dirty so I don’t have to sleep in the dirt.

Pre 2017. The electronics, mostly the infotainment systems, are junk and not easy to replace.

All of our audio units are junk.

This whole shift to integrating entertainment systems and HVAC systems is terrible. Despite what people thing, bigger screens don't make cars better. They make them worse.
