I like Fractal cases but I do feel like they get way too much credit for their cases now. Lots of stuff Li Lian and Corsair have brought to market recently is IMHO better in terms of cable management and value per dollar than Fractal. That being said with Fractals cheaper stuff you can't go wrong.

Not really. Early leaks give the 10900K the same per core performance as the 9900K and the expected roughly 20% boost in multicore. The problem is that this all comes at the cost of almost 300 watts of power draw when a load is placed across all cores .

If I was a team blue fan I'd skip Comet Lake-S and wait for Rocket Lake. Actually scratch that, just wait for Alder Lake or whatever Intel calls their first 7 nm desktop chip. None of these 14 nm designs are worth it over the 8700K or 9900K for gaming or the Ryzen lineup for multipurpose work.

Still on a 5930k, I'll upgrade in 2-3 years when DDR5 goes mainstream.

I'm on a Ryzen 3950X, and I upgrade often because hobby, but I'll also wait now until the DDR5 chips drop. AMD is hinting at DDR5 being possible late next year on their mainstream lineup similar to how they brought PCI-E 4.0 quickly to market after implementing it on their Epyc chips.

This is the first I'm learning about WiFi 5/6/7 etc... If you asked me about WiFi 5,I would replied with wtf is that?

Tell me about wireless AC/AX/BE and I'll know what you're talking about.

Well one of the first issues with going pre built was discovered recently. The cheap power supply sounds like a jet and is making some other weird noise so I’m not taking any chances. PSU’s are slim pickings with the current situation, so I went with a Corsair rmx 850 watt. It’ll last me a long time and the price was not inflated.

Wifi 6 has been deployed for a while. 6E is the new just approved standard. My Galaxy Note 10 and LG C9 TV both take advantage of the much higher bandwidth and more efficient MIMO implementation. I've been a big fan of my Asus GT-AX11000 especially since WiFi 6 allows full bandwidth to WiFi 6 devices while allowing other devices access at their native speeds.

The nice thing about the new naming scheme is that most devices will display what mode they're in without going into the settings. This is my Note 10 outside about 60 feet from the router still getting 2-3/4 bars. Screenshot_20200501-191618_Chrome.jpg

This is probably a dumb question. I’m replacing the case fans with either noctua or be quiet 140mm fans. The issue is that I only have 1 fan header on the motherboard. How would I connect 3-4 case fans since I can’t have that many on one fan header? I think the current 3 pin fans are using a Molex connection

You need a PWM fan hub. I'd try to get one that takes a PWM signal from the fan header you have to signal the fans speed but powers the fans from a SATA connector. I know Silverstone makes a hub like that.

I know my phone is connected to "WiFi 5", but that doesn't mean much to me. With channel bonding/frequency variances the speed could vary a lot depending on the capabilities of the phone or router.
