vF Tuner for the 3.5L Tacoma

Welp, I've got the software installed, unlocked the stock 04B04 ECU and have managed to find where I can change my alternator voltage. I have no idea what I'm doing, this seems dangerous, but I can't stop now...

@OVTune, when do we get the 2.0 Final version to build from? My understanding is what I have access to here is the stock ECU and configuration. From here I can start over, but what I'd like and I'm guessing many other users, is the ability to start with 2.0F and change my alternator voltage, etc...

So far, I am super impressed, but I'm also a complete noob just mashing on the keyboard. I save nothing at this point...

 

As soon as Tactrix arrives, I get to work on the same.

I'm not putting my Tactrix cable or this laptop or this software anywhere near my truck until I can differentiate my asshole from my armpit in this thing (which I am no where near right now, it's all assholes, or armpits, or sweaty folds, I can’t tell, and I'm terrified but just keep poking like a confused teenager). Again, being a complete noob it's pretty sweet. I think I found an area that relates to some spirited discussions on the 1.05 thread...



Also, to those having issues, just read the instructions linked in the email with your key. I’m a dumbass by many standards and managed to get it working following the directions.

 

My plan is to run tunes created by @OVTune. Especially, this 2.0... right now, a beta will do.

The first thing I will have to do is flash it to obtain my ECU information.

 

@OVTune I also got the "Master Key(Email)not recognized". Followed directions that was sent in email link. Copied and pasted master key and email.

I’m going to be finding a cheap laptop to use just for this. What are requirements needed to run the software?

 

Tried again this morning. still on 9. I give up. I have tried EVERYTHING. WTF

First piece of advice, don't edit/save your stock files. Once you open it, save it to a new name of your choosing. Consider anything provided my OVTune as a template.

 

100% my plan, as stated. Just poking around, not saving anything. I also have the p5f software and can go to stock on that system, but hope to never have to go back to stock.

 

Figured as much, but just thought I'd put it out there for those that may not have done this type of thing before. I would almost bet that someone will modify the crap out of the provided file, flash it to their truck and then have nothing to fall back to "Mat, help me, I've fallen".

 

for people still having issues getting the newest version I will make a new download link that is unique.

When you edit a file and want to save it as a new file , use the "export" option

The editor will say 1.009, ignore that. This link is 100% correct.

deleted download , deleted shortcut,turned laptop off,cleared cache, disconnected from wifi,added firefox,added chrome, tried matts links. still at 9. computers are great when they work.

 

Only thing i can think of is my downloads it says 11 but when i click on (about) when the tuner page is open it still says 9. I think thats what matt is referring to so i have been chasing my tail this whole time? That i do have 11 installed?

 

Yeah, my exe file was 11 but the software says 9. I think you’re good to go!

 

If yours is like above pics, then yes it's correct.
