Thanks, the deals are definitely out there. The hardest thing was finding a dealer that wanted to negotiate.

Thanks man, I cast a wide net with dealerships in AZ and the surrounding states. I found a couple of good dealerships and then just worked with them to get a great deal. I think I could have gotten a little better, but I wanted to get into my new truck already.

And with inventory dwindling and the config you wanted, I think you chose well. Enjoy dude!

I recently bought my taco using NAVY FED. I applied for the loan in March, they advertise 2.85% for new car loan. Well assuming you have outstanding credit 780+, they actually bring the APR down. The dealership could not beat my APR, the best they could do was 4.9% and this was last month(. 4.9% is because it was a 2020 TRD PRO i was buying and they had no specials for it) i went ahead and used the loan with NAVY FED. After everything was finalized and registered to my BANK account the final APR on my loan was 1.9%. ( i was bit surprised) i expected 2.9%. Anyways. Thats my experience with NAVYFED.

Do you know why it changed? That’s a nice swing in your favor. The 2.99 I’m seeing is a hard pill to swallow(+800 credit)

1250 rebate me when they figured my final cost. Was real happy with the terms of the lease, but with work being a concern, I'm opting to just buy it out. Actually that's what I'm doing today. I'm losing 4k doing it this way over a traditional purchase. But one bright note, technically I'm buying a certified used vehicle, that I used with another warranty. Still with the 4k loss, probably not but I'm ok with it. No one saw this nightmare coming

I had the same with NavyFed when I bought in Mid March, the APR from Navy Fed was lower than anything available elsewhere and once the dealer sent in the preapproval check, NavyFed adjusted to current loan rates which came down. NavyFed (and maybe USAA) do that because they are straight up and serve the members unlike a bank.

They guarantee you the 2.9% which is pretty low but once used and reevaluated. They lower the % according to your credit and current loan rates.( i was also at the 800 level). I would apply for the loan with NAVY FED, ( once approved with check in hand) use it to your advantage when buying a new vehicle. Its what i always did.

I've had USAA insurance (home/auto) for 23 years now and in my experience, they truly do serve their members. I was all set to go with them for my Tacoma loan through their car buying service (basically True Car), when I stumbled across Navy Federal's lower rate. So far Navy Federal has been great to deal with and seems to be on par with USAA when it comes treating their members.

Ok so here is the latest....
Voodoo Blue DCSB 4x4 OFF-ROAD Original MSRP $39056
MSRP after dealer add ons $42051
I say I want it $36000 before TTL with 84/0 (first responder deal at dealership) He says he can only do 84/0 at full MSRP or 84 month at standard rate with Vehicle at $37500. I told him “thanks but no thanks”. Was his deal actually decent or do y’all think I was in the right? I am wondering if he will counter with $37500 84/0 because I could actually do that I am just playing hardball. I hate the dealer add on crap...show you original MSRP online but then tell you “Oh No it’s actually higher”

I guess if you're not in a hurry, maybe the dealership will come around if they know they have a for sure sale from you. It looks like your asking 14% off and 0% for 84 months, which might be tough.

Definitely not in a hurry. Also I forgot to add that I thought the $39056 was the MSRP when I made my offer because that is what they had listed online and the dealer shot back with the $42,000 one with a screen shot of the dealer add ons

Bed Mat and Go Pro. Toyota made it so good, doesn't need much mods. Don't like getting her dirty!!
My buyout is about $4K over straight purchase too, my lease matures in October. But, since I did not have to buy gap and have enjoyed the truck and use I don't feel too upset about it. Got full warranty service and have been paid mileage for work. I am waiting to see if the deals get better before I commit to buying out my '17 SR5 DCSB V6 Auto. In the mean time, I do have to buy some tires for this summer's work travel.

$3000 worth of add-ons is a lot. What are the add-ons? If there are removable items then you could ask them to take them off. The deal I’m about to take for example has tinted windows for $400 and a pinstripe for $400. The tinted windows at least has value to me because I’m going to tint them anyway even though you’re grossly overpriced. But all at all when it comes down to The bottom line out the door price I’m going to be a paying, that is right so that’s really what matters. I’m going to try to get them to give me floor mats instead of the pinstriping.

Some removable, Some not. The Lifetime warranty listed at the top is “free”

Nitrogen tire fill is a scam do not pay for that. The running boards are $800, wheel locks $80, floor mats $140? I think. You already have a standard 5year/60k mile Powertrain warranty so I personally wouldn’t pay for extra from dealer. $3000 seems super aggressive I would definitely tell them to take those off, or go to another dealer but that’s just my 2 cents

It’s a financing deal they are offering at Bev Smith Toyota in Fort Pierce, Florida for First Responders or Medical Field Employees(which my wife is a registered nurse) from now until May 4th. The financing is being covered by Space Coast Credit Union. Bev Smith is the only Toyota dealer in the state offering it currently

Even at my dealers grossly inflated prices this is what this would come out to. They give a lifetime powertrain warranty and lifetime oil changes too.
    Tint-400
    Nitrogen tires-250
    Floor Mats-300
    Running boards-650 (for raptors)
    USB Chargers w kit-200
    Wheel locks-not sure
    =1800
What a joke. It’s funny that they don’t even list the price of each item individually.
