I want!! ....okay I'd rather have a possum to be honest but those are still cute.

Sorry to hear he's headed back out but good to see life somewhat returning to normal. A fish fry sounds amazing.

I've always wondered why rich, greedy bastards have never tried to corner the market on water. It's something we have to have to survive. They could name their price

    Way to go!

I think pound for pound, they're the best fighters in fresh water.
    And they're jumpers...better than Rainbows.
They fight like Hell in a fast moving river like the Susquehanna.

Sometimes called "Bronzebacks" around here, or just "Smallies".

It takes 7 days until it is 70% cured. That’s the standard but I’m sure it’s a little quicker in that heat. Go get some white plastic sheeting, wet it down and cover it with the plastic. Periodically check it.

Well here's my fishing report. Never put my line in the water. Being disabled sucks big time. I can't walk very well over rough ground, like around lakes and creeks, you know tree roots, rocks, shit like that. At least there are trails to follow, but trying to walk more than 2-3 hundred yards carrying my 5 gallon bucket, with minnow bucket inside that, with my small tackle box in that, and a fishing rod or two. Then I need my walking staff in the other hand. I went to 4 different places that I can get reasonable access too. Not one parking spot in any of them, and all were crowded with people, and I mean a lot of them. I did stop an "Jimmy's Lakeside " and get a bacon cheeseburger on the way out. I sat in my truck with the windows down while eating and watched several people along the bank fishing. Sat there for about 30 minutes or so, didn't see anyone catching anything. So I think there doing the same thing I'm doing, getting the hell out of the house before they go bat shit crazy. So, unless I can find some private property to fish on, no more Saturday fishing for me, I'll go during the week, since the last 3 times I've been out, there have been limited number of people. What a bummer, didn't get to see how far I could cast my new bait casters. I now have 3 dozen minnows in a 5 gallon bucket on the back porch, maybe I'll try again tomorrow, but get up early to get a good spot.

I think anything is better than nothing. The white plastic is best because it helps keep temps down. You want it to cure as slowly as possible.

Fun fact: some of the cement in the Hoover dam has still not fully cured.

Here's an little added Twin story. When my sister and I were toddlers, we spoke our own language. We'd go into the kitchen, and I'd say something only my sister could understand. She would tell my mom, that I was hungry or thirsty , and what I wanted. Then my mom would look at me, and ask the question to confirm. According to my mom I would just shake my head yes or no in response. We did this until I was almost 4 years old, then for some strange reason, I started to speak english, which my mom told me made her very happy. I also called my sister "Bo", instead of her real name, twins do strange things. We were very close until we reached High School, around our junior year, I started hanging out with the "Wrong" crowd, according to her, grew my hair long, and started smoking the good stuff. At this time in our lives, she was pissed off, because I had more friends than she did, and was going and doing more cool stuff. But she got redeemed when we moved back to this shitty little hick town in south Texas, and I had to cut my hair off, and she had all her old friends back.:annoyed:

I think your math is off. $1.29 for a 20 oz bottle of water works out to $8.256 per gallon.
