She was pretty tired after hauling them all to the new igloo

 

Damn....she looks so much like our dear Claudia. Been years and we still miss that sweet little lady

 

A real possibility

 

I originally posted this in the "For Stock Rigs Only" thread. But I thought some of you might find this interesting. It was certainly a first for me.

The other day I was mowing the back yard when a young squirrel scurried behind my recycling bin. I trapped him behind there and grab him by the tail. I didn't want to accidentally turn him into yogurt with the mower. So I walked around to the front yard and put him about 6' up in a tree. Figured he'd scurry off. But as I stood there he climbed down and walked up to my feet. So I reached down and picked him up. He didn't even flinch. My daughters came out and he immediately took to them. They fed him peanuts and sunflower seeds. They also gave him 3 syringes of water which he eagerly drank. He then climbed up into my youngest daughter's lap and went to sleep.



A little Google search indicates he's about 12 weeks old. So he's weaned.

After his nap we took him down to the woods a couple of blocks away. He happly road along in my daughter's arms. She set him down, he paused, squeaked at us and hopped into the brush.

I've never seen anything like this before.

 

Rest In Peace Lucky.
That makes two in roughly two months.
Now he's in heaven meeting up with Kat.

He was a sweet gentle little fella..... Just found him in his bed box and got done burying him..

Sorry for your losses. It's never easy. Remembering all the good things my Squeak brought me has helped. Although I still look for her to come around the corner when a tuna can gets opened.
