I was pretty much an overseas guy. Germany, Iraq, Korea, and Irwin for a short time before I got out. Although civilian life has been a letdown sometimes.

Uh hey guys, its been a while!

So i thought i would check in and give some credit to those of you who poked fun at me for selling my tacoma to get a raptor about 8 months ago. @Red Baron Yall were right. The Ford now has 39k unmodified stock miles on it and is less dependable than my highly shade tree modified tacoma with 105k miles!

Those of you who are wanting a “factory built ”adventure truck, the raptor isnt a bad choice but if you like to mod stuff and want a solid 20 year vehicle look else wear.

If anyones interested i can give a full after action report on my experience and why im going to a tundra ‍♂️

ill be back on here to try and get in some wheeling/ camping trips once i pull the trigger on a tundra. Ill be glad to be back in the yota mafia.

and if you guys have a line on a Cement Grey Tundra crewmax let me know. also if anyone knows someone who wants raptor ill give any of you a $500 finders fee (dm me for a link to my add)

    more to come.

I'm actually very interested in a quick run down of shit that's gone wrong/right... I've considered moving up in the truck game but haven't been able to justify it...

Moving up? I'm not sure what's better than a double cab TRD OR.

Yeah it's tough... I want something with more modern performance but it's hard to sacrifice the pure reliability of my truck to achieve that. It's a mental battle I experience everyday...

I bought a Ford to tow my Tacoma around :luvya:

I put 15k problem free miles on it in 5 months. I think my Tacoma goes 500 miles between problems :homer:

Who doesn't want an outdoorsy, high energy dog that also loves to cuddle?

Daisy seems to think she is one of the big dogs and has no problem walking right up to one of our 80 pounders and trying to initiate play

I am almost done with my covid 19 spring landscaping project. Just need to spread the mulch over the exposed dirt. Wife said the flower gardens looked great in the spring but more like weeds mid summer and fall, so I removed the flower gardens. In their place I planted Bloomerang lilacs (her favorite) and rose of Sharon (hibiscus) bushes. Lilacs bloom in the spring and hibiscus in the fall. The bare hibiscus bushes in the center start to sprout leaves next month.

The pup likes gardening too. I'll have to teach him not to prune the branches too much. He likes to chew on them.

There were two hills of dirt/sand in each corner of the lot. I moved a lot of dirt in the past month along with 4 or 5 bags of roots.
For awhile there I felt like Cool Hand Luke removing my dirt from Boss Kean's ditch.

    Now its time to relax.
    IMG_2489.jpg

and enjoy the tulips amongst the irises, which will bloom next month.

Got a little Cabin feverish a few weeks ago and gave Winkle a little bit of exercise along Jackson Creek southwest of Sedalia.
    IMG_2476.jpg

Winkle goes into the body shop Monday May 4 to repair some front end damage received in a 5 car pile up late February. No one was hurt.
Hopefully America will start opening up again soon so I can catch up with everyone on the trails.

Yes fortunately. I get 1.5 hours of my life back every week day by avoiding the drive from Highlands Ranch to Centre Tech in Aurora and back.
