    Just got home from work... too tired to do the light bar for the roof rack. I'll do it other time.

    After jokingly being named RivetNutBob by @Foster Imposter I've decided that I like that moniker much better than my present screen name so I've decided to make the change.

    @RiverNutBob
    So you decided on rivernut rather that rivetnut

    Buying my lift set up next week, full Old Man Emu with light duty springs for now going on my 2016 access cab. I'm pretty excited, might buy some sliders at some point soon as well.

    Got a few things done today, finally routed my RCA wires to get rid of that alternator whine, Installed some rivet nuts in the storage bin under the seats to hold my fuse box, got a few new ratchet straps because my old ones all rusted up in the bed compartments.

    I also took the truck out for a drive today and noticed the ac was off, So I turned it on and it turned itself off again :( Every time I turn it on, it turns itself off again. So I guess ill be heading to the dealership before it gets too hot out to get the AC fixed.

    Anyone have a idea on whats going on with it? I found plenty of threads about the AC turning off after a few seconds, but none of them give the solution.. except one thread that says they ended up getting a new AC compressor.

    No hate to the guy who sells hi lift jack mounts for like $100 but I wasn’t willing to spend that much for a few pieces of metal so I made my own and it turned out really good and was able to use the sliding bed tie down points without losing their functionality! 0DEDD683-ECD6-4C76-AA40-585E097C859E.jpgB81DF0B8-6C09-4636-8F79-D4634A3E6A01.jpg

    if your inquiring of the AMP PowerStep Manual switch, Yes, I popped out the left side switch panel. It' not that hard, there are youtubes on removing the panel, just got to pry it a little.

    I took my time drilling that hole on that dummy oem switch cover. I center drilled a pilot 1/8" hole and worked my way to a 1/4" bit then I used a step drill bit carefully and slowly, when the center hole went off a bit, I used a dremel tool to get it more or less centered again and repeated with the step bit. Slow and easy, the 3/4" hole needed was about the max. size that blank could handle.

    No, this dang phone anticipates words and puts them down. I didn't proof read what I had sent to @tcBob and so he changed it to what my message read instead of what I meant for it to be. Clearly my fault. o_O
    Hoping to get him to fix it for me and change it to RivetNutBob. :fingerscrossed:

    Update: fixed. Thanks @tcBob!

    Washed and Clay’d it along with wife’s edge. She got a coat of wax on hers. I’m debating trying the meguiars ceramic wax on mine. Anyone have any first hand experience with it?
