Has anyone experienced water in their fuel and had their Tacoma? CEL come on? Or misfire codes?

Not from water. You would have miss fires on all cylinders if it was water in the fuel.

    What code you showing?

Had this happen once in a other truck I added a treatment called heet let it set for about an hour and drive the truck till it was almost empty. Ran like crap but new fuel in and changed the plugs and oil they were nasty and it was good after that.

You do realize the ethanol in gasoline is hygroscopic meaning it's basically dry gas the stuff you add to the tank to absorb water.

I’m just wondering what a goldenboyz is. You all act like you aren’t wondering too, so yeah we’re basically just not gonna talk about that. Ok.

I took my truck to the dealer because it was pinging bad and the cel came on limp mode. The dealer said it had 9 codes for misfire and was number 4 cylinder. They said when they see codes like that is a possibility I have water in the fuel. I think is bs because i could make the cel come on at a certain spot on the road it was a slight uphill grade. The tech says that it is not actually pinging what I'm hearing is cam chain slap because all four cans a trying to adjust to stop the misfire. They swapped coils and sparkplug to see if the problem followed and after that It fixed itself. Weird! This was two weeks ago. Fast forward to yesterday and it does it again pinging and cel comes on this time I get a high transmission temp warning also.

To be clear, the truck is running proper? No check engine light, correct?

From what I remember, it wasn't a good diagnosis in that. Engines have been replaced or cylinders and heads have been replaced on a few of these types of threads.
