    Happens one of two ways:

Whatever you're tightening becomes harder to tighten

    Or

Whatever you're tightening becomes really super loose all of a sudden

Dude. Same here. The high of solving/preventing a problem because you were able to think something through is equalized by the lows of overthinking the simplest or most mundane thing into paralysis.

I see your classy wine drunk with a half gallon of margarita drunk.

You as well. Bro, I didn't even lurk. I just was completely out of contact so I have zero clue as to what has been discussed. I am relearning everything.

Honestly I’m not sure which way to go. I’ve heard good reports of the roush tensioner so maybe I go with that. The engine has done 200,000kms so maybe just a new stock tensioner may work too. I’m more leaning towards the roush as it’s classed a heavy duty and should see me through for many years to come.

Anyone have some photos of their snout trimmed for a 2.3. I need to see a good photo of the amount before I go at it. I figure I should trim now before I press on the quick change.

Definitely don't want to deal with the broken OEM tensioner.

A picture is not going to help. What you really need is a 2.3 pulley and slowly grind away till it can spin freely. Over grinding here will be catastrophic when time comes to press bearings in or out. ;)

I agree 100% with this.. do it little by little so you can leave as much material as possible. There's no going back once the material is removed, so take your time

I used a die grinder to cut mine back. Yes it takes a while but also handy to just grind back any small spurs that may restrict the pulley from spinning. I haven’t had any issue since I did it.

That’s kind of what I figured. Hard to tell without the pulley. I’ll prob just rock it like this for awhile then. Was only doing it to save time later.

    Yes. Poop. Very lean poop.

I’ll betcha Justin will have some decent preliminary numbers that he can toss to ya just to get ya up and running. I just sent him a bunch of logs.
